A physiological signal collection electrode comprising a signal collection portion, a signal output terminal and a signal transmission portion interconnecting the signal collection portion and the signal output terminal, wherein the signal collection portion comprises a signal collection pad and the signal transmission portion comprises a signal transmission pad, wherein the signal collection portion and the signal transmission portion are integrally formed into an elongate and conductive electrode pad which extends in a longitudinal direction along a longitudinal axis; wherein the signal collection portion has a signal collection surface for making abutment contact with a signal surface and the signal collection surface is parallel to the longitudinal axis; and wherein the signal output terminal is parallel to the signal collection surface, extends transversely to the longitudinal axis and protrudes above the signal collection surface.

Physiological signal collection apparatus and performance monitoring apparatus incorporating same

A physiological signal collection electrode comprises a signal collection pad having a skin contact portion, a signal output pad and an elongate bridging portion interconnecting the signal collection pad and the signal output pad. The signal collection pad, the signal output portion and the bridging portion are integrally molded of a flexible, conductive and resilient material. The width of the bridging portion is substantially smaller than that of the skin contact portion. A narrowed bridging portion operates to concentrate collected physiological signals collected by the skin contact portion before the signals are output to the signal output pad. An elongate bridging portion reduces skin covering area for better wearer comfort as well as providing better resiliency to the electrode when the bridging portion is extended.

A battery charger for charging a portable electronic equipment, including a peripheral wall interconnecting a first base surface and a second base surface, an engagement portion protruding from the first base surface and extending in an axial direction to define an end surface a battery charging terminal protruding axially from the end surface, and a pair of self-engaging latches which is under a resilient bias to protrude laterally outwards and away from an engagement portion peripheral wall. The engagement portion has a lateral profile for insertion into a correspondingly battery charger receptacle along the axial direction. The latches are shaped dimensioned and positioned to retract inwardly towards the battery charging terminal upon encountering the battery charger receptacle until reaching a latching portion on the battery charger receptacle whereat the latches are to enter into releasable latched engagement with the latching portion.

Power supply apparatus

An electronic apparatus comprising an electro-luminescent display device, an information display window defined on an outward facing surface of the display device to form a data display portion having a characteristic pixel density, a digital assembly to output data to the display device for display on the information display window, a viewing window through which information displayed on the information display window is viewable from outside of the apparatus, and a translucent plastic light filter disposed between the viewing window and the information display window; wherein the translucent plastic filter has a transmittance which is adapted to visually conceal the information display window or make the underlying information display window not visible when under sunlit ambient illuminations.

Apparatus comprising an electroluminescent display

A mobile image display apparatus comprising a backlit display device, an ambient light collector, an image forming device for outputting image signals to form images on an image display screen of the backlit display device, and an image viewing chamber defined by an opaque housing; wherein the ambient light collector is for collecting ambient light from exterior surroundings to provide back illumination to the backlit display device.

A performance display device comprising a base receptacle and a display unit; wherein the display unit comprises a display screen and a processor, and is operable by a mode switch; the mode switch is operated by relative pivotal motion between the display unit and the base receptacle; characterized in that the display unit and the base receptacle are complementarily shaped to cooperatively form a hinge axis about which the mode changing pivotal motion takes place. A performance display device having a hinge axis formed by the complementarily shaped display unit and base receptacle provides a simple, robust, and reliable device.

Performance display device

A portable performance monitoring module comprising a signal receiver, a processor for generating and outputting performance data, and a communication interface for facilitating data communication with a portable telecommunications device. The performance monitoring module is arranged to communicate with the portable telecommunications device via the communication interface upon receipt of requests from the portable telecommunications device. This module is adapted for cooperative operation with a general power telecommunications device to expand its processing and display power while maintaining a low cost simple design and compactness.

Performance monitoring modules and apparatus

A performance monitoring apparatus comprising an assembly of a performance monitoring module and a general purpose portable telecommunications device such as a mobile telephone or mobile smart phone connected for data communication mounted on a common casing. The performance monitoring module is adapted for receiving performance signals from at least one performance sensor and for converting the performance signals into performance data. The general purpose portable telecommunications device is configured to be activate-able to cause the performance monitoring module to transfer performance data to the general purpose portable telecommunications device. Performance monitoring apparatus and casing therefor

A swim monitor comprising a motion sensing device and a controller is provided. The motion sensing device is capable of detecting motion in a plurality of mutually orthogonal axes and the controller is arranged to capture motion data generated by the motion sensing device and to generate swim motion information with reference to the motion data collected. The controller is arranged to generate swim style information with reference to a rhythmic motion pattern detected in at least one selected motion direction. Such a swim monitor provides a compact device for swim monitoring and a simple solution to proved swim style information.
