The present invention is directed to a method of preparing a molecular sieve of SWY framework type, denominated STA-30. STA-30 is synthesized using 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, 1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivates and combinations thereof as structure directing agents. The resulting molecular sieve is useful as catalysts, particularly when used in combination with exchanged transition metal(s) for the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) of NO.

STA-30, a new member of the SWY family of molecular sieves, methods of preparation and use

Disclosed herein are novel RHO zeolites useful as kinetically selective adsorbents for oxygen and/or nitrogen. The adsorbents can be used in pressure swing adsorption processes for selectively adsorbing oxygen and/or nitrogen from feed streams such as an air stream or crude argon stream. Also disclosed are novel methods of preparing RHO zeolites, including in particular mixed-cation RHO zeolites.

RHO adsorbent compositions, methods of making and using them

STA-19, a molecular sieve having a GME structure and phosphorus in the framework, is described. STA-19AP (as prepared) can have a lower alkyl amine, such as trimethylamine, and olig-(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane)-pentyl dibromide ([DABCO-C5]where x represents the number of repeating units) or olig-(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2] octane)-hexyl dibromide ([DABCO-C6]) as SDAs. A lower alkyl ammonium hydroxide, such as tetrabutylammonium hydroxide (TBAOH), can be used as a pH modifier for the preparation of SAPO-STA-19. Methods of preparing STA-19AP, STA-19C and metal containing calcined counterparts of STA-19C are described along with methods of using STA-19C and metal containing calcined counterparts of STA-19C in a variety of processes, such as treating exhaust gases and converting methanol to olefins are described.

Disclosed herein are new processes for adsorbing oxygen using adsorbent compositions comprising RHO zeolites kinetically selective for oxygen. The RHO zeolites can be used in pressure swing adsorption processes for separating oxygen from oxygen containing streams, such as for, but not limited to, purifying a crude argon feed stream or separating oxygen from an air feed stream.

The invention relates to a method of preparing SAPO-56, (AFX) using a lower alkyl amine, preferably trimethylamine, and a 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.2]octane derivative, preferably comprising either 1,4-(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane)butyl cations or 1,5-(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane)pentyl cations, as structure directing agents (SDAs). A lower alkyl ammonium hydroxide, such as tetrabutylammonium hydroxide (TBAOH), can be used to control the pH.
