A server includes an input node to receive video streams forming a panoramic video. A module forms a suggested field of view in the panoramic video. The suggested field of view is based upon a viewing parameter, such as a client device motion parameter or a motion prediction parameter. An output node sends the suggested field of view to a client device.

Various examples are directed to systems and methods for formatting stitched panoramic frames for transmission to a remote image processing system, the method comprising. A control circuit of a panoramic camera may receive first and second frames captured by first and second image sensors having partially overlapping fields-of-view. The control circuit may identify a first overlap region of the first frame and a second overlap region of the second frame. The first and second overlap region may comprise pixel values from portions of the fields-of-view of the image sensors that overlap. The control circuit may generate a panoramic frame from based at least in part on the first and second frames. The control circuit may generate a transmission frame comprising the panoramic frame, the first overlap region and the second overlap region.

Formatting stitched panoramic frames for transmission

A server includes an input node to receive video streams forming a panoramic video. The server also receives audio tracks corresponding to the video streams. A module forms an audio track based upon a combination of at least two of the audio tracks and directional viewing data. The audio track may be a stereo, mixed or surround sound audio track with volume modulation based upon the directional viewing data. An output node sends the audio track to a client device.

In an embodiment, a haptic feedback system includes a plurality of actuators to provide tactile feedback associated with an input surface. Each actuator is adapted to be activated independently of the other actuators. The system further includes a controller to activate a first actuator of the plurality of actuators to induce a first vibration at a selected input location of the input surface and to activate one or more additional actuators to induce at least a second vibration to localize the first vibration at the selected input location.
