A control system for controlling a work machine includes an engine for producing power to propel the work machine during a normal operating mode, a cooling system for cooling at least the engine during the normal operating mode, and a controller for controlling the cleaning system during the normal operating mode and a clean operating mode. During the normal operating mode, the engine is running and the controller operably controls a cooling fan of the cooling system to rotate in a first rotational direction to produce a first air flow in a first direction. During the clean operating mode, the engine is not running and the controller operably controls the cooling fan to rotate in a second rotational direction to produce a second air flow in a second direction. The first rotational direction is opposite the second rotational direction, and the first direction is opposite the second direction.

Method for cleaning cooling system of a work machine and system thereof

An apparatus and method of cooling an engine exhaust generated by an engine of a work machine having a hydraulically operated implement. The work machine includes an emission control system and a cooling system having an oil cooling system configured to cool an oil of a hydraulic system and an engine cooling system configured to cool an engine coolant circulating through the engine. An exhaust pipe, coupled to the emission control system and configured to direct engine exhaust, includes an outlet disposed in a space located between an oil cooler of the oil cooling system and a radiator of the engine cooling system. An air displacement device is configured to draw air into and away from the oil cooler and the radiator and to draw the exhaust from the exhaust pipe. Exhaust from the exhaust pipe is drawn past the oil cooler and the radiator to cool the exhaust.

Method of removal of engine exhaust from a work machine and system thereof

An exhaust gas purification system includes a tank for storing a fluid and a mounting plate coupled to the tank. A baffle is positioned inside the tank below the mounting plate. The baffle has an outer wall defining an interior cavity and an opening. A sensor is positioned in the interior cavity for detecting a condition of the fluid. A supply conduit extends through the mounting plate into the tank. A return conduit extends through the mounting plate into the tank and has an outlet positioned to discharge a return fluid below the opening and exterior to the baffle and the interior cavity.

Diesel exhaust fluid system

A DEF injector cooling system may include a mechanical pump, an electric pump, and a controller. The mechanical pump may be rotatably coupled to an engine so as to be driven by the engine. The mechanical pump may be fluidly connected to the engine, a DEF injector, and a heat exchanger, and configured to pump coolant through these components. The electric pump may be fluidly connected to the DEF injector and configured to pump coolant through it. The controller may be configured to receive an ambient temperature signal indicative of an ambient temperature and power the electric pump after a shutdown of the engine for a period of time, the duration of the period of time based on the ambient temperature signal.

DEF injector cooling system and method

A work machine having an air-breathing, fuel-consuming, liquid-cooled internal combustion (IC) engine and a turbocharger receiving combustion products from the IC engine and a compressor for pressurizing air to the IC engine. A primary heat exchanger is in fluid flow connection between the compressor and the IC engine and a secondary heat exchanger is in fluid flow connection between the compressor and the IC engine and is upstream of the primary heat exchanger. The secondary heat exchanger is an air-to-liquid heat exchanger and receives liquid coolant from the IC engine.

Internal combustion engine charge air cooler precooler

A dual-circuit cooling system for a vehicle is disclosed. One of the circuits may be used to manage the temperature of the engine while the other circuit may be used to manage the temperature of a component other than the engine. An associated method is disclosed.
