The second system may be adapted to execute a process for analyzing the notable finding, for determining at least one new pattern to send to the first system, and for sending the at least one new pattern to the first system. The at least one new pattern may also include a rule that includes a set of conditions and an action to perform if the set of conditions is met.

A method of detecting atrial fibrillation (AFib) includes receiving electrical signals representative of a beating heart and measuring atrial activity over a time window of three or more beats. The method may further include producing the indication with a processing system. Measuring atrial activity may include measuring P waves, and measuring P waves may include analyzing a standard deviation of a PR interval.
