In the field of medical dosing device filling, a propellant conditioning assembly () comprises an input conduit () to receive a propellant at a constant pressure from a propellant reservoir (). The conditioning assembly () also includes a bifurcation () to divide the input conduit () into first and second conditioning conduits (). The first conditioning conduit () includes a cooler device () to selectively cool a diverted first propellant stream () that flows through the first conditioning conduit (), and the second conditioning conduit () includes a heater device () to selectively heat a diverted second propellant stream () that flows through the second conditioning conduit (). The conditioning assembly () still further includes an output conduit () to receive the first and second propellant streams (). The relative proportion of the first and second propellant streams () merging in the output conduit () is controlled to regulate the temperature of a merged constant pressure propellant feed () exiting from the output conduit ().

Propellant conditioning assemblies

A propellant filling apparatus () comprising a filling booth () for receiving within it one or more containers for filling with a propellant; a propellant inlet () to the filling booth () that is capable of supplying propellant into one or more containers within the filling booth () from a propellant supply; an inert gas inlet () supplying inert gas from an inert gas supply () into the filling booth (), a discharge outlet () from the filling booth (); an extraction fan () that is capable of adjusting its fan speed to maintain the pressure of gas in the filling booth () to be lower than atmospheric pressure; and an oxygen detector () that is capable of detecting levels of oxygen in the filling booth () and triggering circulation of inert gas in the filling booth () when the level of oxygen in the filling booth () falls below an oxygen threshold level.

Propellant filling apparatus

A closed-loop biomass extraction apparatus using HFC solvents including an extraction vessel, an evaporator for the solvent, a compressor and a condenser connected in series in a closed loop extraction circuit; a solvent recovery loop constituted by a bypass line; a plurality of flow control valves that are selectively operable for connecting the solvent recovery loop in parallel with the closed loop extraction circuit; and at least one container containing an adsorbent for organic contaminants and a desiccant, the container being connected in the solvent recovery loop to which solvent in the extraction circuit may be supplied through selective operation of the flow control valves whereby solvent used in the extraction circuit may be supplied through the adsorbent and the desiccant.

A process for treating a composition comprising one or more undesired compounds and one or more desired compounds so as to reduce the concentration of the one or more undesired compounds is described.
