Conduit support bracket

A trapeze conduit support system includes a support bracket, and a moveable retention member, which are configured to be suspended from and carried by a pair of vertically extending support members, such as for mounting of conduits at or near a ceiling, beam, or like supporting structure of an installation. The retention member is moveable between a first, open position, wherein the conduits can be 'laid in' to the support bracket, and a second, closed position wherein the retention member retains the conduits in position within the support bracket. Convenient and efficient installation of conduits is thus facilitated.

Trapeze conduit support system

A unitary support bracket facilitates secure and efficient support of an electrical box, and one or more associated conduits. The support bracket includes a central portion, and a plurality of leg portions which extend integrally therefrom. Each of the leg portions includes a downwardly deformable distal portion, which in turn each include at least one resiliently deformable tab engageable with a respective one of the conduits. By this arrangement, the efficient support of an electrical box, and one or more associated conduits, can be provided, with minimal assembly of various components required, thus facilitating convenient and efficient installation of the associated electrical system.

Support bracket for electrical box

A transition coupling for connecting at least a first and a second piece of electrical conduit is provided, such as for positioning in a concrete slab of a building or other structure. The coupling includes a first opening for receiving the first piece of electrical conduit, a second opening for receiving the second piece of electrical conduit, and a body extending between the first and second openings.

A floor stand for mounting an electrical box having a plaster ring has an upper structure, a lower structure, and two parallel uprights, each of which has an upper part having an upper end and a lower part having a lower end. The upper structure bridges the upper ends of the upper parts. The lower structure bridges the lower ends of the lower parts. The upper and lower parts are separate parts, which are fastened together at any one of a plurality of possible elevations of the upper structure above the lower structure, via fasteners, such as screws, which pass through vertical slots in the upper parts, into holes in the lower parts.

A floor stand for mounting an electrical box and for supporting a conduit extending downwardly to the electrical box has a conduit-supporting flange projecting backwardly from an upper portion of the upright member and is adapted to mount the electrical box so as to bear against a back face of the floor stand, beneath the conduit-supporting flange, which has three apertures, each adapted to pass a conduit extending downwardly through the aperture, to the electrical box. In one contemplated embodiment, each aperture is surrounded by a collar, which is adapted to receive a fastener for fastening the conduit to the collar. In an alternative embodiment, each aperture is associated with a tab having a distal end, which is adapted to engage the conduit.

Floor stand for mounting electrical box and for supporting conduit

For an electrical box having an open front, mounting an electrical device, and having a plaster ring, which fastens to the electrical box, around the open front, and which has a projecting portion defining a generally rectangular aperture providing access to the electrical device, through the open front, after the electrical box, the electrical device, and the plaster ring have been installed behind a wall panel, such as a drywall panel, a protective cover is mountable removably to the plaster ring so as at least substantially to cover the generally rectangular aperture of the plaster ring, whereby to protect the electrical device against foreign matter, damage, or both while an aperture accommodating the projecting portion of the plaster ring is cut into the wall panel or while the wall panel is being decorated near the aperture accommodating the projecting portion of the plaster ring. In one contemplated embodiment, the protective cover is made from steel and has a window, which has a transparent sight made from a transparent, polymeric material enabling a person to view the electrical device through the generally rectangular aperture of the plaster ring and through the open front of the electrical box while the protective cover is mounted to the plaster ring. In another contemplated embodiment, the protective cover in its entirety is made from such a transparent, polymeric material.

A floor stand for mounting an electrical box and for supporting a conduit extending downwardly to the electrical box has a conduit-supporting flange projecting backwardly from an upper portion of the upright member and is adapted to mount an electrical box so as to bear against a back face of the floor stand, beneath the conduit-supporting flange, which has three apertures, each adapted to pass a conduit extending downwardly through the aperture, to an electrical box so mounted. The conduit-supporting flange has a slot communicating with each aperture, from an edge of the conduit-supporting flange, and the conduit-supporting flange has a tab adjacent to the slot. The tab is adapted to permit a conduit to enter that aperture from the edge of the conduit-supporting flange, via the slot, if the tab is bent sufficiently, and to block a conduit from exiting that aperture, via the slot, if tab is unbent. The floor stand has three wall-attachable flanges, each having a not-in-use position, in which it projects vertically, beneath the conduit-supporting flange, each having an in-use position, in which it projects backwardly and is attachable to a wall behind the floor stand.
