Arm rest for lawn mower

A lawnmower comprising a mower deck having a discharge outlet for discharging grass clippings. The mower deck includes an aperture and slot defined by the mower deck adjacent opposite sides of the discharge outlet. A chute is pivotally connected to the mower deck above the discharge outlet and may pivot between a stowed condition and an operable condition. An extension portion is removably connectable to the mower deck adjacent the discharge outlet. The extension portion includes a fixed pin engageable with the aperture and a latch engageable with the slot. The latch is movable between an engaged position, in which the latch engages the slot, and a disengaged position, in which the latch is removed from the slot. The extension portion extends beyond the chute while the chute is in the stowed condition. A grass catcher is connectable to extension portion opposite the mower deck.

Grass catcher attachment method and apparatus

A lawnmower comprising a chassis and a mower deck movable with respect to the chassis. A cylinder assembly is mounted to the chassis, and includes an actuating cylinder, and a piston shaft selectively extendable and retractable with respect to the cylinder under the influence of fluid pressure within the cylinder. A deck lift assembly is interconnected to the chassis and the mower deck for adjusting the height of the mower deck with respect to the chassis. The deck lift assembly includes a pivot member pivotally connected to the chassis. A jack is removably coupled to the pivot member, such that the chassis is raised and lowered in response to movement of the piston shaft with respect to the cylinder. The jack utilizes the existing hydraulic system and cylinder assembly of the lawnmower to raise the lawnmower with respect to the ground.

A riding lawnmower includes a parking brake handle movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When the parking brake handle is in the disengaged position, the lawnmower control levers are permitted to operate the lawnmower drive system, and the lawnmower engine startup circuit is in an open condition in which the engine is unable to be started. When the parking brake handle is in the engaged position, the lawnmower wheels are substantially prevented from rotating, the control levers are locked in a neutral position, and the startup circuit is in a closed condition in which the engine is able to be started. Movement of the parking brake handle to the engaged position causes the control levers to move to the neutral position.
