A method of ensuring high integrity of a processor is provided. The method includes executing sets of sequential instructions, each execution being based on a unique initial value, generating a computed final value responsive to each execution of a set of sequential instructions, and sending computed values to a monitoring portion of a high integrity processor monitor system responsive to the generating for each execution of the set of sequential instructions. The execution of the sets of sequential instructions tests pertinent addressing modes, operand sizes, and instruction side-effects for each instruction tested in a monitored central processing unit.

A system for detecting cursor interference includes a graphics engine configured to generate graphics information; a first evaluation unit coupled to the graphics engine and configured to evaluate the graphics information; a cursor generation unit coupled to the graphics engine and configured to generate cursor information, the cursor generator further configured to merge the cursor information and the graphics information into merged information; a second evaluation unit coupled to the cursor generation unit and configured to evaluate the merged information; and a display device coupled to the cursor generation unit and configured to display the merged information based on the evaluations of the graphics information and the merged information.

Systems and methods for detecting cursor interference in visual displays

A radar display system ( ) according to the present invention generates textured radar display data by utilizing a direct memory access receiver ( ) to receive radially scanned radar data, to convert the radially scanned radar data into range bin data sets, and to store the range bin data sets. A graphics renderer ( ) stores the set of range bin data sets in a texture memory ( ) as a plurality of rectangular textures, and bit maps the rectangular textures to a series of display triangles in a frame buffer ( ). The graphics renderer ( ) colors the display triangles in accordance with the rectangular textures by performing a bi-linear interpolation of the color and warps the display triangles in accordance with the size of a display ( ).

Use of texture memory for WX scan conversion

An ambiguous dial indicator intuitively communicates the relative value of setpoints to an operator. The ambiguous dial indicator includes an ambiguous scale and a pointer or needle. The setpoints are represented by 'bugs' which are adjacent to the ambiguous scale. The bugs are limited to a predetermined range about the pointer such that when a setpoint is outside of the predetermined range the associated bug is limited to an edge of the range. When several setpoints are outside of the predetermined range the several associated bugs saturate or park at the edges of the range. The invention is particularly useful in head-up displays and helmet mounted displays.

An image processing apparatus processes image data representative of an image for a plurality of pixels of a display. The pixels have positions designated by locational addresses. The image data includes data elements and a first and second positional address for each data element corresponding to the locational addresses indicating to which pixel each data element corresponds. The image processing apparatus includes a device for sorting the data elements according to each of the first positional addresses. The device generates an output including the data elements and the second positional addresses of each data element in a first positional address order. An additional device sorts the output for the first positional addresses according to the second positional addresses. The additional device generates a display output of the data elements in a first positional address/second positional address order. A method for processing this image data includes sorting the data elements and second positional addresses of each data element according to the first positional addresses thereof. An output is generated including the data elements and their second positional addresses for each data element in a first positional order. The output is sorted according to the second positional addresses for each data element and a display output is generated of data elements in a first positional/second positional order.
