A method of using a kiosk to dispense funds, a portion of which has a value less than the value of the lowest form of currency the kiosk dispenses. The method may include receiving information at the kiosk identifying a source for the funds and transmitting a request to a host computer to verify the source for the funds. The method may include receiving at the kiosk a verification of the funds and displaying on a display screen an amount of funds available for payment. The method may include receiving at the kiosk a request from a user to remit a first portion of the amount of funds in a first form, wherein the first form is selected from a group consisting of paper currency, money order, credit to an account, and credit to a stored value card. The method may include remitting the first portion in the first form and displaying a set of options for receiving a second portion of the amount of funds, wherein the set of options is selected from a group consisting of a money order, a donation, a credit to a stored value card, and a credit to an account. The method may include receiving a request from the user to remit the second portion of the amount of funds in a second form selected from the set of options. The first form and the second form may be different, and the kiosk may be configured to dispense money orders upon receipt of a request from the user to remit the first portion as a money order.

Multi-purpose kiosk and methods

A computerized method of verifying the identity of an attendant operating a money transfer transaction device includes receiving at the money transfer transaction device a user identification and password from the attendant and receiving at the money transfer transaction device additional information from the attendant. The additional information relates to a security feature that limits access to the transaction device. The method also includes using the additional information, the user identification, and the password to evaluate whether to allow the attendant to operate the transaction device to process a transaction.

Systems and methods for verifying identities in transactions

Systems and methods for performing money transfer transactions via a wireless communication device, such as a cellular phone, are provided. The wireless communication device may be associated with, or automatically linked to, at least one payment source account. The wireless communication device may be associated with at least one pre-paid payment source account. In one example, the wireless communication device is a pre-paid cellular phone and/or is associated with a pre-paid money transfer account. The wireless communication device may access a pre-directed phone number, e.g., *55, to access a money transfer service provider. Once connected to a money transfer service provider, a user may initiate a money transfer via the wireless device, which is optionally paid to a payee in-person at a money transfer service provider location.

Money transfer transactions via pre-paid wireless communication devices

A method for accepting payments from a consumer for a travel ticket from a travel company comprises receiving at a point of sale device a transaction request that includes a transaction identifier that identifies a travel arrangement made with the travel company and a payment amount. The payment amount and the transaction identifier is transmitted to a host computer system for validation. Also, a validation from the host computer system is received indicating that the transaction requested has been validated. A payment is received from the consumer, and at least a portion of the payment is electronically transmitted to the travel company.

Airline ticket payment and reservation system and methods

The present invention generally provides systems and methods for performing money transfer transactions via a wireless communication device, such as a cellular phone. In accordance with the invention, the wireless communication device is associated with, or automatically linked to, at least one payment source account (i.e., the wireless communication device is associated with a payment source account that may be automatically charged for payment of account balances, authorized charges, and/or money transfers). A method for converting coined money to another type of value proceeds by receiving a plurality of coins into a coin processing machine. The coins are processed with the coin processing machine to determine a value of the coins. An electronic record of the determined value is produced using the coin processing machine. Further, the record of the determined value is electronically transmitted from the coin processing machine to a remote storage location.

Coin currency conversion systems and methods

A holder for pills has at least two separate compartments. The holder also holds a medicine record card for written medical information such as identification of patient medicine, dosage and the like. The holder holds the record card inside transparent faces so that the written record is undisturbed. The record card is arranged for erasable marking with a marker. The holder includes a recess for holding the marker. A space is provided for also retaining a card such as a medical insurance or credit card that may be read without removing it from the holder.

A sliding assembly (90) positions a shield (103) at the needle point (7) and the shield is impaled upon the point so that the needle may be discarded with the point protected. A finger control (35) release the needle while avoiding exposure to the point.
