Process for manufacturing shaped forms of packaging

An item with a surface area creating an optical effect is such that the surface area with the optical effect exhibits at least two images ( ) separated a distance (d) from each other by means of a transparent layer of material ( ). Process for manufacturing cold formed shaped packaging having at least one recess made from a metal-plastic laminate . Examples of such shaped forms of packaging are the base parts of push-through packs or blister packs. The process is such that the laminate is held between a retaining tool and a die . The die exhibits at least one opening and a stamping tool is driven into the die opening causing the laminate to be shape-formed into the said packaging and, correspondingly, exhibiting one or more recesses. The die and the retaining tool exhibit facing edge regions , and within the edge region the die exhibits a shoulder region that surrounds the die opening or openings . The surface of the shoulder region lies 0.01 to 10 mm lower than the surface of the edge region of the die . A first stamping tool with low-friction shape-forming surface forms the metal-plastic laminate in one or more steps down to 100% of the final depth of the recess and subsequently the same or a second stamping tool likewise with low-friction shape-forming surface effects the final forming of the pre-formed laminate in one or more steps to at least 100% of the final depth of the recess.

Process for manufacturing shaped packaging

Device for detecting pin-holes or tears in a foil

A form of packaging or packaging aid having integral guarantee of original pack and/or first-time opening containing a substrate with a surface that reflects visible light. The reflective surface is made of metal or is a metallic reflective surface. One or more single ceramic layers are provided on the reflecting surface. The ceramic layers are made of a compound having the formula SiO,, where x represents a number from 1.5 to 2.0, each ceramic layer has a thickness of 50 to 2000 nm. The ceramic layer is directly, nonreleasably affixed to the substrate or to the reflective surface of the substrate. On the ceramic layers, a reflecting layer which is semipermeable to visible light is provided. The reflective layer is made of metal and has a thickness of 0.2 to 60 nm, and is such that light striking the coated substrate is reflected and seen as different colors depending on the direction or angle at which it is viewed by an observer.

Packaging for medicaments such as blister packs contain a plurality of recesses which hold contents. A lidding foil closes off the packaging and protects the contents. The contents such as tablets are pushed through the lidding foil whereupon the lidding foil breaks. The lidding foil features at least one conductive strip and the medicament packaging can be connected to a computer. On pushing the contents through the lidding foil, the lidding foil breaks and the computer recognizes the impulse emitted as a result of this action. The conductive strips contain, as current carrying fraction, an SnO.sub.2 /SbO.sub.3 hydroxide mixture on a mica substrate.

Device for manufacturing cold-formed shaped forms of packaging out of a metal-plastic laminate where the said device contains a die with at least one die opening, in the die opening a stamp which may be driven by the die, and a retaining tool as a clamping facility that holds the laminate securely between the die and the clamping facility. The die and the retaining tool feature a facing edge region and the die, within the edge region, a shoulder region that surrounds the die opening, and the surface of the shoulder region lies 0.01 to 10 mm lower than the surface of the edge region of the die. Parts or in particular the whole of the shoulder region may be covered with a surface layer of low friction characteristics. The metal-plastic laminate is held clamped between the edge of the die and the edge of the retaining tool, and the stamp draws and stretches the part of the laminate in the region of the shoulder over the shoulder into the die opening.
