Methods, network control nodes, network nodes and user equipments for assisting the updating of neighbor cell information when a new cell is introduced, or added, to an already existing radio access network are described in this disclosure. According to an example embodiment a signal is transmitted, from a first network control nodeassociated with RANto a second network control nodeassociated with RAN. This signal comprises a cell identity CI, e.g. a Local Cell Identity LCI, of the newly introduced cell C, which is added to RAN. Next, the second network control nodeof RANreceives the signal comprising the cell identity CIof this newly introduced cell C. In response, the second network control nodetransmits, to at least one user equipmentassociated with the RAN, a signal comprising the received cell identity CIof the newly introduced cell Cas well as a request to the at least one UEassociated with RANto search for the newly introduced cell Cof RAN, which is controlled by network node
