A multi-plate dual clutch for coupling a motor vehicle engine to a drive shaft of a motor vehicle transmission and to an auxiliary power take-off output shaft of the motor vehicle. The dual clutch includes a drive clutch for coupling the motor vehicle engine with the drive shaft, and an auxiliary power take-off clutch for coupling the motor vehicle engine with the auxiliary output shaft. The drive clutch and the auxiliary power take-off clutch can each to be operated independently of one another by a separate lever mechanism. The dual clutch includes a wet chamber housing in which the drive clutch, the auxiliary power take-off clutch, and the respective lever mechanisms are accommodated in fluid-tight relationship.

A multi-plate dual clutch for coupling a motor vehicle engine to a drive shaft of a motor vehicle transmission and to an auxiliary power take-off output shaft of the motor vehicle. The dual clutch includes a drive clutch for coupling the motor vehicle engine with the drive shaft, and an auxiliary power take-off clutch for coupling the motor vehicle engine with the auxiliary output shaft. The drive clutch and the auxiliary power take-off clutch can each to be operated independently of one another by a separate lever mechanism. The dual clutch includes a wet chamber housing in which the drive clutch and the auxiliary power take-off clutch are accommodated in fluid-tight relationship, while the respective lever mechanisms for the drive clutch and the auxiliary power take-off clutch are located outside the wet chamber housing.

Double clutch for coupling a drive shaft of a motor to a transmission shaft of a transmission in a vehicle having a first friction clutch for frictionally clamping a first clutch disc couplable to the transmission shaft between a first pressure plate and a first counter-plate, the first pressure plate displaceable in an axial direction to close the first friction clutch, a second friction clutch for frictionally clamping a second clutch disc couplable to an accessory power take-off between a second pressure plate and a second counter-plate, the second pressure plate displaceable in the axial direction to close the second friction clutch, a first actuating element configured to displace the first pressure plate, and, a second actuating element configured to engage a pressure ring connected to the second pressure plate to displace the second pressure plate, wherein the second actuating element is pre-loaded by at least one wire load ring.

Double clutch

A dual clutch for coupling an engine drive shaft with a transmission shaft and/or an auxiliary power take-off. A first friction clutch presses a first clutch plate that is couplable with the transmission shaft between a first contact plate, displaceable in an axial direction to engage the first friction clutch and a first counter plate. A second friction clutch presses a second clutch plate that is couplable with the auxiliary power take-off between a second contact plate, displaceable in the axial direction to engage the second friction clutch and a second counter plate. First and second actuating elements move the first and second contact plates; respectively. The second contact plate is connected to a thrust ring connected to the second actuating element to transfer displacing movement. The second actuating element has a spring element, situated between the second actuating element and the thrust ring, for pre-stressing so that a reduction of contact force is avoided in case of wear and tolerance dependency of the contact force and/or actuating force is decreased.

Dual clutch

A friction clutch device, in particular for a drive train of a motor vehicle which is driven by internal, combustion engine, having a rotational axis, a housing, at least one pressure plate which can be displaced in the direction of the rotational axis relative to the housing for an actuation, and a spring device for loading the at least one pressure plate, in which friction clutch device the spring device has a first element for generating a pressure force which acts on the at least one pressure plate, and a second element which is separate structurally from the first element for transmitting an actuating force, in order to improve the friction clutch structurally and/or functionally.

Friction clutch device

A clutch unit including a housing fixed to a flywheel, in which two axially displaceable pressure plates are housed fixed to the housing to form a first and a second clutch, each provided with a clutch disk, whereby the clutches may be independently operated by means of lever arrangements, mounted to pivot on the housing, whereby each lever arrangement is connected to a pressure plate for opening and closing the corresponding clutch.

Clutch unit

A friction clutch, especially a double clutch, with a clutch housing on which at least one actuation lever is pivotally supported. A connecting member in the form of a pressure lever or an eyebolt is coupled with the actuation lever for actuation of a clutch pressure plate. The pressure lever or the eyebolt is formed as a one-piece stamped element to minimize machining and assembly costs.

Friction clutch actuation lever

The invention relates to a clutch assembly which is designed to be self-adjusting. The invention relates to a multi-plate clutch assembly as well as to a method for operating a multi-plate clutch which can be produced cost-effectively in a structurally simple manner and which has an improved release characteristic. In particular the clutch has a more constant release characteristic with a high operating accuracy over the entire service life.

Clutch assembly

A friction clutch wherein several changeover levers which are made of sheet metal are interposed between the housing on the one hand and the two pressure plates on the other hand. Each changeover lever has two arms with convex surfaces which can roll along flat surfaces of the respective pressure plates and a median portion which cooperates with a fulcrum on the housing. When one of the pressure plates is moved away from the associated friction disc, the changeover levers roll along the associated fulcra and cause the other pressure plate to move away from the respective friction disc. If the clutch is a dependent-operated friction clutch, the fulcra and the median portions of the respective changeover levers define adjustable clearances in engaged condition of the clutch.
