A slide-on-rod assembly includes a tube and a carriage configured to move within the tube. The carriage has a first contact surface, the carriage includes a wing rotatably coupled to a body of the carriage, the wing has a second contact surface, the first contact surface of the carriage is configured to contact a corresponding first contact surface of the tube, and the second contact surface of the wing is configured to contact a corresponding second contact surface of the tube. The slide-on-rod assembly also includes a biasing member coupled to the at least one wing and to the body of the carriage. The biasing member is configured to drive the first contact surface of the carriage into contact with the corresponding first contact surface of the tube and the second contact surface of the wing into contact with the corresponding second contact surface of the tube.

A vanity mirror assembly for a vehicle sun visor includes a cover assembly configured to be slideably supported within a frame and to cover a reflective element while in a closed position and to at least partially expose the reflective element to a vehicle interior while in an open position. A vehicle sun visor includes a positioning assembly configured to facilitate rotation and/or translation of the vehicle sun visor relative to an interior of a vehicle. The invention concerns a fixture, for example a sun visor used in a vehicle, comprising a covering element provided with a latch member and a basic body rotatably carried on a spindle element. The spindle element includes a positioning member. When the covering element and basic body are counter-rotated on the spindle element, the positioning member moves the latch member from a mounting position to a fitted position. The fixture when installed can be locked by means of the latch member on a fitted body which, for example, may be an interior trim piece of the vehicle.

A sun visor can be opened from a non-used position to an anti-glare position. The visor can be pivoted from a first anti-glare position in front of the windscreen to a second anti-glare position in front of a lateral window of the vehicle. The visor body is guided by a guide device in such a way that in each anti-glare position the same face of the body faces the vehicle interior. The visor body is guided both by a guide rail that is mounted on the roof liner and by an articulated arm that is rotatably mounted on the sun visor body for pivoting from the first anti-glare position to the second. The visor body can also be hinged for pivoting from the first anti-glare position to the second by a pair of articulated arms forming a four-bar mechanism with substantially vertical axes of rotation relative to the roof liner.

This publication describes a visor with a visor body that can be folded around the long axle leg of an L-shaped visor axle, that can be shifted parallel to said long axle leg and that is swingably positioned around a roughly vertically aligned short axle leg. Here, the short axle leg sits in a bearing block and the free terminal area of the long axle leg is positioned separably in a first bearing housing and the arrangement of the visor body is so made that it can be shifted along the long axle leg both beyond bearing block and beyond thrust bearing housing.
