A dental light comprises at least one light emitting diode light source configured to produce a light beam and at least one collimating lens system situated to receive the light beam. The collimating lens system is configured to collect and collimate the light beam. The collimating lens system can additionally modify the beam through controlled diffusion or shape the beam using an aperture.

A conduit guide includes a main body having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion being configured for attachment to a dental delivery unit, the main body defining a channel along at least a portion of its length configured to receive a utility conduit. A positioning assembly is disposed within the main body, and includes a first attachment member, a second attachment member, a biasing member, and an adjustment member. The biasing member is coupled to the first attachment member and to the second attachment member, and extends between the first attachment member and the second attachment member. The adjustment member is coupled to the biasing member and configured to axially move the biasing member to adjust a position of the conduit guide. The conduit guide is configured such that at least the adjustment member of the positioning assembly can be selectively accessed and enclosed within the main body.

The shelf member is movable between at least a closed position and an open position. The device mounting locations define locations devices can be coupled. According to another implementation, a dental delivery system comprising a housing defining an interior, at least one connection extending from the housing to a dental handpiece holding area, a removable cover and a shelf member movable between at least open and closed positions is described.

A dental chair assembly comprises a base, a support, a first pivot mount and a second pivot mount. The support is configured to support a chair seat defined to extend in a forward direction and a chair back positioned rearward of the chair seat. The support has a forward side, an opposite rearward side and a longitudinal axis extending through the forward and rearward sides. The first pivot mount is positioned along the longitudinal axis forward of the rear side of the support and configured to support at least one movable arm. The first pivot mount defines a first upright pivot axis. The second pivot mount is positioned along the longitudinal axis and spaced forwardly from the first pivot mount. The second pivot mount is configured to support at least one movable arm and defines a second upright pivot axis parallel to the first upright pivot axis.

A positive positioning device comprises a plurality of stacked plates, a body, a spring-biased piston and a piston release device. The plurality of stacked plates have a central opening defined to receive a pivot shaft. The body houses the plurality of stacked plates and has an internal bore within which a cylinder is defined. The spring-biased piston is shaped to slide within the bore to apply a force to the stacked plates to resist rotation of a pivot shaft inserted through the central opening in the stacked plates. The piston release device is actuatable by a user to release the piston to decrease force applied to the stacked plates and allow free rotation of the pivot shaft.

Described herein are various embodiments of a dental delivery system. For example, in one exemplary embodiment, a rear dental delivery system through which at least one of water, air and vacuum are delivered for use by a care giver in treating a patient occupying a nearby dental chair can include at least one movable arm that is pivotably mounted to a pivot connection and an upright mounted to the at least one movable arm. The pivot connection can be mounted at approximately a floor level and the at least one movable arm can be configured to pivot slightly above the floor level so as to reduce obstruction in a space separating the dental chair from the dental delivery system.
