A protective textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members against impact and method of constructed thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a plurality of yarns interlaced with one another, with the interlaced yarns forming an elongate, circumferentially continuous, tubular wall extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between opposite open ends. At least some of the plurality of yarns include tubular yarn having a central cavity extending along the length of the tubular yarn, thereby providing an impact resistant, dual layered wall to the tubular yarn. The sleeve can be constructed in a weaving, braiding or knitting process, wherein the tubular yarn can be interlaced as a woven yarn, braided yarn, or knit yarn, and further, the tubular yarn can be interlaced as an inserted yarn.

At least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of monofilaments and at least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of multifilaments. The plurality of multifilaments are braided in a plurality of separate bundles. Each of the bundles includes at least two multifilaments. The monofilaments are embedded into the multifilaments during the braiding process to lock the multifilaments in an 'as braided' location to prevent shifting of the multifilaments during application and during use, thereby enhancing the abrasion resistance of the sleeve wall.

Abrasion resistant braided textile sleeve and method of construction thereof

A wrappable textile sleeve for protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a plurality of warp filaments and at least one weft filament woven with one another to form a woven wall. The woven wall has opposite sides extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The opposite sides are wrappable about a central longitudinal axis into overlapping relation with one another to bound the elongate member within a cavity of the sleeve. At least one warp and/or weft filament is provided as a bulky, fluffy multifilament, wherein the bulky, fluffy multifilament is woven to form at least one float extending over 2 or more weft and/or warp yarns, wherein the at least one float provides loops sufficient to readily fix themselves to hooks of a standard hook and loop fastener.

Woven sleeve with integral attachment loops and method of construction thereof

A textile sleeve for routing and protecting a plurality of elongate members in spaced relation from one another is provided. The sleeve includes a single piece, monolithic wall of interlaced yarn extending lengthwise between opposite ends of the sleeve. The wall includes a plurality of circumferentially continuous, tubular wall sections extending lengthwise between the opposite ends, with adjacent tubular wall sections being fixed in laterally spaced relation from another by an intervening single layer section. At least some of the yarn within each tubular wall section is provided as heat-shrinkable yarn, thereby providing each tubular wall section as being heat-shrinkable from a first, diametrically enlarged assembly state to a second, diametrically constricted state about a corresponding elongate member contained therein.

Multi-cavity, shrinkable sleeve and method of construction thereof

A woven sleeve, sleeve assembly and methods of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a flexible, abrasion resistant, circumferentially closed and continuous elongate wall extending lengthwise along a central axis between opposite ends. The wall is woven with warp yarns extending generally parallel to the central axis and at least one heat-shrinkable weft yarn extending generally transversely to the warp yarns. The warp yarns provide the sleeve with coverage, abrasion resistance and flexibility and the weft yarn provides the ability to shrink the wall about an elongate member being protected within a cavity of the sleeve, as well as providing enhanced crush strength and abrasion resistance. At least one of the warp yarns and/or weft yarn includes at least one low melt, heat-fusible yarn served therewith to enhance resistance to end-fray during a cutting operation.

End-fray resistant heat-shrinkable woven sleeve, assembly therewith and methods of construction thereof

A self-wrapping, textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members from electromagnetic interference and a method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has an elongate wall constructed from interlaced yarns. At least one of the yarns is provided as heat-settable polymeric yarn that is heat-set to bias the wall into a self-wrapping configuration about a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve to bring opposite edges into overlapping relation with one another to provide a generally tubular cavity in which the elongate members are received. Further, at least one of the yarns is provided as a bi-component metallic wire having an aluminum core and an outer layer of copper.
