LBT adaptation, beam operation, and/or interference handling may be performed by wireless communication devices in NR above 52.6 GHZ. In an example, a wireless communications device may send information on a channel. The channel may comprise a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), a Physical Downlink Shared Data Channel (PDSCH), or a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). The wireless communications device may receive, from a user equipment (UE), one or more ready to receives (RTRs). The wireless communications device may determine, based on a number of consecutive RTRs of the one or more RTRs, a listen before talk (LBT) mode. The LBT mode may be associated with staying or switching to a no receiver assistance mode or staying or switching to a receiver assistance mode.

Blind coverage for wireless devices is enhanced varying one or more transmission characteristics of a repeated transmission sent or received by apparatuses, where the repeated transmission includes, for example a Physical Downlink Shared CHannel (PDSCH) and/or a Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) transmissions. The apparatus may determine, based on the first information and the second information, that the first transmission and the second transmission overlap at least partially in time. The apparatus may determine a first priority associated with the first transmission and a second priority associated with the second transmission. The apparatus may then cause, based at least in part on the first priority and the second priority, at least one of: prioritization of one transmission over another transmission, or preemption of the first transmission by the second transmission.

In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device, includes: obtaining measurement results by performing measurements on a plurality of signals transmitted by a wireless communication node; determining, based on at least one parameter for communication with a communication node: a plurality of random access channel (RACH) groups, and an association between at least one RACH group of the plurality of RACH groups and the measurement results, wherein the at least one parameter indicates a number of preambles in the at least one RACH group; determining a matching RACH group from the plurality of RACH groups based on the measurement results; and sending a message using at least one resource of the matching RACH group to the communication node.
