A local event infrastructure and method for detecting events of a business application. An event manager is configured to detect one or more events of the business application based on a number of predetermined conditions. An event filter is configured to filter the one or more events detected by the event manager according to a relevance to an operation of a business application system that contains the business application.

Local event infrastructure

Systems and methods for adding services to an application platform via an extension platform coupled to the application platform. The application platform runs in a first operation system process and provides a number of resources. The extension platform is implemented in a second operation system process and communicates with the application platforms via standard inter-process communication protocols. The extension platform provides an environment to dynamically model and host application services. A resource abstraction layer provides the extension platform with access to the resources provided at the application platform. The resources are utilized by the extension platform to design and to execute the application services. The application services hosted in the extension platform are centrally managed and administered from the application platform via exposed interfaces.

Condition editor for business process management and business activity monitoring

A system and method for monitoring activity of a business application are disclosed. A system includes a condition editor provided by an integration builder tool of a message exchange infrastructure connecting an event resolution portal server and the business application. The condition editor is adapted to configure one or parameters to define one or more conditions for one or more business objects of the business application. The system further includes a filter framework adapted to detect a state change event from the one or more business objects, compare the state change with the one or more conditions to determine a relevance of the state change event, and report relevant state change events to the event resolution portal server.

Condition-based event filtering

A system and method for monitoring activity of heterogeneous systems within a business application landscape are disclosed. An object state change is detected in an object instance of one or more systems of the business application landscape. Each object state change is filtered according to one or more conditions related to the object instance. If the one or more conditions are met for an object state change, a filtered workflow event is generated, and the filtered workflow event is mapped to a common message proxy to generate a monitoring event message. Via the common message proxy, the monitoring event message is sent to a centralized monitoring process in an event resolution center of a portal server.

Aggregation and evaluation of monitoring events from heterogeneous systems

Methods and systems for managing integration of a heterogeneous application landscape are disclosed. The landscape is defined by one or more business process. A business process management system includes an integration server connected between two or more applications in the landscape. The integration server includes a business process engine configured to execute one or more business processes that define message-based interactions between the two or more applications. The business process management system further includes a runtime engine, under direction of the business process engine, for executing one or more messaging services on the message-based interactions between the two or more applications.
