The invention relates to a process for the preparation of sodium-based solid compounds, such as sodium-based solid alloys and sodium-based crystalline phases by ball-milling using metallic sodium as starting material. The invention also relates to some sodium-based crystalline P'2-phases and to Na-based vanadium phosphates phases (NaV(PO)) with 0&#x3c;y&#x2264;3 and Na-based vanadium fluorophosphates phases (NaV(PO)F) with 0&#x3c;z&#x2264;3, in particular NaV(PO)F, obtained by such a process and to their use, as active material for positive electrode, in a Na-ion battery.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a completely solid Li-ion battery having a solid state body wherein the battery is assembled in a single step by stacking at least one layer of a powder mix including a positive electrode active material and a solid electrolyte, at least one intermediate layer of a solid electrolyte and at least one layer of a powder mix including a negative electrode active material and a solid electrolyte, and simultaneous sintering of the three layers at a pressure of at least 20 MPa, under pulsating current. A method of synthesis of a metal fluorophosphate having the following general formula (1): XM(PO)F(1), in which: X is an alkaline metal selected among sodium (Na) and lithium (Li) or a mixture of said metals; M is a transition metal selected among the following elements: Co, Ni, Fe, Mn, V, Cu, Ti, Al, Cr, Mo, Nb or a combination of at least two of said metals, 0&#x2266;a&#x2266;5; 0.5&#x2266;b&#x2266;3; 0.5&#x2266;c&#x2266;3; and d is an integer equal to 1, 2 or 3. The method contains an electric-field-activated sintering process for a mixture (1) formed by at least one first phosphate-containing solid precursor and at least one second fluorine-containing solid precursor.
