A gaseous fuel injection system for use with a combustion engine having a throttle cable. The system include a supply tank connected to a pressure regulator connected to a throttle assembly, and a safety valve preventing fuel flow when the engine is not operating. The throttle assembly includes a tubular throttle body having opposing open ends, with one end securable to an intake manifold of the engine. A control rod extends transversely through the throttle body, and an air intake valve is secured to the control rod within the throttle body, so that rotating the control rod controls air intake into the intake manifold. A fuel valve is attached to the throttle body and includes a valve body defining a fuel outlet connected to a fuel injector extending into the throttle body. The fuel valve also includes a needle closing the fuel outlet and extending out of the valve body. A control arm has a first end pivotally secured to the throttle body and a second end secured to the needle, and a cam is secured to a second end of the control rod extending out of the throttle body and is in contact with the control arm. Rotating the control rod, therefore, pulls the needle out of the fuel outlet and controls fuel flow into the intake manifold. A throttle wheel is secured to a first end of the control rod and is adapted to receive the throttle cable, whereby the throttle cable controls both air intake and fuel flow.

Gaseous fuel injection system

A centrifugal fuel distributor including a drive shaft rotatably mounted within a housing having a distribution cavity. A sidewall of the distribution cavity defines a plurality of spaced-apart fuel outlets, and a hollow armature is biased radially outwardly from the drive shaft, so that a distal end of the armature is in sealing contact with an inner surface of the sidewall. During operation, pressurized fuel travels through a fuel passage in the drive shaft and through the hollow armature while the drive shaft is rotated, so that the distal end of the armature slides along the inner surface of the sidewall of the distribution cavity and sequentially distributes fuel to the plurality of fuel outlets. The fuel then passes from each fuel outlet to fuel injectors mounted in cylinders of an engine incorporating the fuel distributor. A timing rotor is secured to the drive shaft and signals the position of the armature as the drive shaft rotates to an actuator controlling fuel flow, so that the actuator allows the fuel passage to be replenished with pressurized fuel each time the hollow armature distribute fuel to a fuel outlet.

Centrifugal fuel distributor

A fuel distributor for delivering fuel under pressure to cylinders of an engine. The distributor includes a housing, an inlet for delivering fuel under pressure to the housing, a plurality of outlets in the housing and a valve assembly mounted in each outlet. Each valve assembly is for connection to a fuel injector mounted in a cylinder of the engine, and each assembly includes a passage for delivering fuel under pressure from the housing, a plunger positioned in the passage, and a valve spring biasing the plunger to one of a passage open position and a passage closed position. The fuel distributor also includes a cam for moving the plungers against the valve springs, whereby movement of the cam controls fuel flow to the cylinders.

Cam actuated fuel distributor

A fuel injector cleaning kit includes a pressurized container containing a pressurized mixture of a fuel injector cleaning fluid and a motor vehicle fuel. The kit includes instructions, hoses and adapters for connection to a plurality of different motor vehicles. An adjustable pressure regulator, included as part of the kit, controls the pressure of the mixture delivered to the vehicle to a value specific to the particular vehicle.
