A power tool includes a housing having a front portion and a handle portion. The front portion defines a cavity that encloses a motor and includes a gripping portion surrounding the cavity. An insulating cover is provided on the gripping portion of the housing and includes a gripping surface. A thermoelectric cooling unit is located between the gripping portion of the housing and the insulating cover. The thermoelectric cooling unit has a cold side positioned in thermal contact with an inner surface of the insulating cover and a hot side positioned in contact with an outer surface of the gripping portion of the housing. The thermoelectric cooling unit is configured to absorb thermal energy from the insulating cover via the cold side of the thermoelectric cooling unit and to release the absorbed heat via the hot side of the thermoelectric cooling unit.

A router table clamp system for attaching a router to a router table, wherein the system includes a first plate that is fixed with respect to the router table, a second plate that is configured to cooperate with the first plate to enable the router to be removably attached to the router table, and a clamping mechanism configured and arranged to move the second plate with respect to the first plate between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein when the clamping mechanism is in the locked position, the router is securely attached to the router table. The clamping mechanism also includes a lever assembly configured and arranged to move the second plate in a locking direction and an unlocking direction, which directions are both generally coincident with a plane defined by the second plate, wherein the locking direction is opposite of the unlocking direction.

A rotary tool accessory in one embodiment includes a base, a circular wall extending upwardly from the base about a central axis, the circular wall including an inner face, an outer face and a circular rim, a first cutting group including a first inwardly extending tooth extending from a location directly above the circular wall to a location closer to the central axis than the inner face, a first outwardly extending tooth extending from a location directly above the circular wall to a location farther from the central axis than the outer face, and a first gullet extending downwardly from the rim toward the base, a second cutting group including a second inwardly extending tooth, a second outwardly extending tooth, and a second gullet, and a toothless expanse of the rim extending between the first cutting group and the second cutting group.

A bit including a shaft defining an axis about which the bit is configured to be rotated. The bit further includes a blade having a first end attached to the shaft and an opposite second end, the blade further having (i) a first blade portion including a first shoulder defining a first cutting edge portion at the second end of the blade, and (ii) a second blade portion including a second shoulder defining a second cutting edge portion at the second end of the blade. A tool bit providing a combined drill bit and reamer is disclosed herein. The tool bit comprises an axial bit shaft including a bore end and a shank end. At least one helical land portion is provided on the bit shaft. The at least one helical land portion includes a cutting edge and a trailing edge. At least one reamer blade is provided on the helical land portion at the bore end of the bit shaft. The at least one reamer blade includes a substantially axial cutting edge. A tip arrangement is also included on the bore end of the bit shaft. The tip arrangement includes a center blade positioned between peripheral cutting blades.

A rotary tool accessory for shaping hard, brittle material is disclosed. In one embodiment, a work portion includes a first flute extending from one end portion of the work portion toward the other end of the work portion and a first land adjacent to the first flute. A first leading edge is located between the first flute and the first land and at least one recess extends from the first leading edge into the first land. An abrasive material is located at the surface of the first leading edge.

A tool holder comprises an elongated body having a first end portion for receiving a handle and a second end portion with an adjustable tool retaining mechanism for holding a tool, an elongated handle releasably retained in the first end portion and being configured to be slideable between stop positions at opposite ends, and a release mechanism at the first end portion configured to enable the handle to be separated from the body when operated.

The present invention is directed to a tool accessory case having a first and a second housing member pivotally connected to each other along a hinge portion and forming a tool holding cavity. The tool accessory case also has at least one index configured for receiving at least one elongated tool accessory disposed in one of the housing members. The index has an upper guide for contacting an upper portion of the tool accessory, and a lower guide for contacting a lower portion of the tool accessory. Further, a flexible arm is included on either the index or one of the first and second housing members. The flexible arm is configured for deforming and applying a lateral pressure to the lower portion of the tool accessory for the purpose of positively retaining the tool accessory in the index. The tool accessory is slidingly received by the index, and the lateral pressure is applied by the flexible arm when the tool accessory is generally entirely received by the index.

A striking apparatus includes a resilient joint between a support and a strike receiving target. The hinge member has two resilient leaves joined to each other and retaining the target therebetween. A set of central stiffeners on the hinge leaves defines the preferential hinge axis. The apparatus includes a base section with a support arm which is attachable through a bracket to a vertical support. Posts extending perpendicular to planar plates defining the support and the target carry changeable dampers in the form of bands, O-rings or flexible rods, for user selection of target resistance.
