A vehicle illumination system and method for controlling a vehicle light. The method includes receiving an input signal at a controller port; generating a control signal to activate the vehicle light based on both a rising and falling edge of the input signal in which the control signal activates an animation sequence when a falling edge is detected.

Systems and methodologies for controlling a vehicle light

A dual printed circuit board assembly for vehicle lights, the dual printed circuit board including a dual printed circuit board and a dual connector. The dual printed circuit board having a first substrate with a first layout, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate with a second layout, and a common panel that supports the first substrate on a first side and the second substrate on a second side, wherein the first layout is populable by a first plurality of light sources to be used in a first light of the vehicle lights and the second layout is populable by a second plurality of light sources to be used in a second light of the vehicle lights. The dual connector having a first jumper connector electrically connected to the first layout, and a second jumper connector opposite to the first jumper connector and electrically connected to the second layout.

Aspects of the disclosure provide a lighting apparatus for a vehicle and a method for color assurance of the lighting apparatus. The lighting apparatus includes a first lighting system and a lighting system controller. The first lighting system includes a first lighting device configured to emit first light in response to a first driving power, and a first color sensing device configured to generate a first color feedback signal that is indicative of a first color of the first light that is emitted by the first lighting device. The lighting system controller is configured to generate the first driving power to drive the first lighting device based on the first color feedback signal to ensure the first color satisfying a color requirement.
