A single piece electrical receptacle terminal comprises a pair of L-shaped contact arms disposed in opposed diagonal fashion for receiving a complementary pin terminal therein. A locking lance (52) is provided on a wall extension (50) that overlies a top wall (14) of the contact. The wall extension (40) is securely crimped to the top wall (14) in order to rigidify the box-shaped base section (8) of the contact. The provision of a locking lance (52) on the wall extension integral with the contact body ensures a single piece contact design requiring low material usage. The locking lance (52) is provided with the requisite flexibility by the double elasticity of the lance (52) itself and the adjacent support arms (58).

Stackable connector modules comprise adjacent interleaving wall portions. The interleaving wall portions enable the modules to be stacked together at a small pitch, because only one wall thickness separates the modules. The wall portions are necessary for providing mechanical rigidity and electrical separation of rows of contacts in the cavities.

Modular connector

A fused battery terminal has a stamped and formed terminal member an insulative housing integrally molded over power supply line connection bolts, and a battery post mounting member attached to the terminal member. The terminal member is rigidly attached to the insulative support member thereby providing a safe and rigid support for a fuse link which is integral with the terminal member. Power supply lines can thus be clamped against connection platforms of the terminal member by the bolt and are thus directly connected to the battery post via the fuse link. Safety and reliability of the fuse connection between the battery and power supply line are thus enhanced due to the integral forming of the fuse line onto the battery post connection section.

An electrical connector assembly comprises terminals having an inner body and an outer body. The inner body is provided with cantilever beam locking lances that are positioned in slots of the outer body. The outer body thus protects the locking lance from catching onto foreign objects. This is particularly advantageous for insertion and retraction through a sealing member. The slot may also provide polarization of the terminal in a connector housing cavity.
