Methods for polishing semiconductor substrates are disclosed. The methods may involve alternating a first and second polishing slurry during polishing. The first and second slurries each contain silica particles with the silica particles of the first slurry containing more silica than the particles of the second slurry. By alternating between first and second polishing slurries, the polishing method may improve wafer flatness.

Methods for polishing semiconductor substrates

An image capturing apparatus includes a light transmitting cover, a display panel, a Light guiding member, a light emitting element, and an image capturing element. The light transmitting cover has a surface in contact with the environmental medium. The light emitting element is disposed on one side of the Light guiding member. The sensing light beam is transmitted to the light penetrating portion in the first light guiding portion to be projected to the display area of the light transmitting cover, and a portion of the sensing light beam is totally reflected by the surface to form a signal beam that enters the second light guiding portion from the light penetrating portion. The image capturing element is disposed on the other side of the Light guiding member to receive the signal light beam that is transmitted in the second light guiding portion.

Image capture apparatus

A detection device including a light guide element, a sensing element, a surface plasma resonance layer and a spatial filter element is provided. The light guide element has a top surface and a bottom surface opposite to the top surface. The sensing element is disposed beside the bottom surface of the light guide element. The surface plasma resonance layer is disposed on the top surface of the light guide element and is adapted to receive biopolymers. The spatial filter element is disposed between the bottom surface of the light guide element and the sensing element. The spatial filter element has a plurality of first light channels and a plurality of second light channels. The plurality of first light channels extend in a first direction, the plurality of second light channels extend in a second direction, and the first direction and the second direction are intersected. A normal direction of the top surface of the light guide element and the second direction form an included angle &#x3b2;, and the included angle &#x3b2; corresponds to a resonant angle &#x3b3; of the surface plasma resonance layer.

Detection device

A biometric identification module including a light source, a cover plate, a display device, an image-capture device, and a first optical film layer is provided. The display device is disposed between the cover plate and the image-capture device. A first optical film layer is disposed on a first region of the cover plate and located between the first region and the light source, wherein the light beam emitted by the light source passes through the first optical film layer to be sequentially transmitted in the first region and a second region of the cover plate, and a finger disposed on the second region of the cover plate reflects the light beam from the second region of the cover plate. The light beam reflected by the finger sequentially passes through the second region of the cover plate and the display device to be received by the image-capture device.

Biometric identification module

A bio-sensing apparatus is used to sense a biopolymer. The bio-sensing apparatus includes a sensing element, a light-transmitting element and a surface plasma resonance layer. The bio-sensing apparatus is disposed on the sensing element. The surface plasma resonance layer is disposed on the light-transmitting element, and is used to receive the biopolymer. The light-transmitting element is disposed between the surface plasma resonance layer and the sensing element.

Bio-sensing apparatus

A fingerprint identification apparatus including a display device, a first translucent base, photosensitive structures, a first light-guide structure, and a light source is provided. The display device has pixel regions and transmissive regions located between the pixel regions. The first translucent base has photosensitive regions and light-emitting regions located between the photosensitive regions. The photosensitive structures are respectively disposed in the photosensitive regions of the first translucent base. The first translucent base is disposed between the photosensitive structures and the first light-guide structure. The light source is disposed adjacent to the first translucent base.
