Disclosed herein are systems and apparatus for detecting a traffic violation. In one embodiment, a system for detecting a traffic violation comprises a context camera assembly and a license plate recognition (LPR) camera assembly. The context camera assembly can comprise a context camera housing containing a context camera, a context camera mount configured to mount the context camera housing to an interior of a carrier vehicle, and a context camera skirt coupled to and protruding outwardly from the context camera housing. The license LPR camera assembly can comprise an LPR camera housing containing one or more LPR cameras, an LPR camera mount configured to mount the LPR camera housing to the interior of the carrier vehicle, and one or more LPR camera skirts coupled to and protruding outwardly from the LPR camera housing.

A latching relay may be shown and described. The latching relay may use a reed switch, a permanent magnet and a coil. The permanent magnet may be magnetized by pulsing current through the coil, and demagnetized by degaussing current. Also, the magnetized magnet may maintain an activated state of the reed switch, and the demagnetized magnet may maintain a deactivated state of the reed switch.

Latching relay and method thereof

A permanent magnet is pivotally mounted in a top spacer layer of a switching device and rests on a flex arm created in an underlying flex circuit layer. The underside of the flex arm rests on a thin bar formed in a lower spacer layer beneath which lies a base layer including an electromagnet. Activation of the electromagnet causes rotation of the flex arm to thereby close and open electrical contacts formed respectively on the underside of the flex arm and on the top surface of the base layer.

Multi integrated switching device structures

A switching device structure having a top layer and a bottom layer, each layer comprising a body of magnetizable material, such as permalloy, disposed within a coil wherein an armature is suspended in a cavity between the top and bottom layers, the armature having ferromagnetic material disposed on a top and bottom surface thereof. Each body of magnetizable material may be pulsed by its respective coil to switch it from a magnetic state to a non-magnetic state and then subsequently pulsed by the coil to switch it from the non-magnetic state to a magnetic state.

According to one exemplary embodiment, an electromechanical relay may be described. The relay can be constructed using printed circuit board (PCB) construction, and can have at least a pair of coils, for example one on the top of or above the PCB, the other on the bottom of or below the PCB, at least two ferromagnetic cores, one of which can be set at the center of each coil, at least a set of contacts which can be on the surface of the printed circuit board, a spacer which can be set between the coils, and a magnet which can be set within the spacer.
