A vacuum pump includes a hollow container that has a vacuum port and internal chamber walls. The vacuum port opens to an exterior of the container and the chamber walls define chambers that are in fluid communication with the vacuum port. There are flexible bladders disposed in the chambers. The flexible bladders include vents that open through the container to the exterior. A plunger in the container includes arms that extend into the chambers such that each of the flexible bladders is situated between one of the arms and one of the chamber walls. The plunger is moveable between a home position and an upstroke position to compress and deflate the flexible bladders via the vents and thereby change the volume of the flexible bladders. The change in the volume draws a vacuum through the vacuum port.

A position-assisting device for milk expression includes an upright body wedge pillow that defines a back side that has an armrest, a front user-engagement side that is sloped back, lateral sides, and a bottom side. The upright body wedge pillow has an upper head-rest section and an interior cavity that has a front face that opens to the front user-engagement side so as to be able to receive a woman's breasts for milk expression. There are breast pumps located in the interior cavity for milk expression.

A ring has an open top side and side walls that circumscribe a central region for receiving a phototherapy subject. The side walls include a work surface that is configured to receive visible light through the open top side and reflect the visible light toward the central region for phototherapy. The work surface includes a first surface that is a diffuse reflector and a second surface that is a specular reflector.

Phototherapy device and system

Dispensing devices and systems for dispensing materials into a host vessel, optionally containing a host substance, are provided. The dispensing devices are removably attachable, in whole or in part, to a host vessel such as a water bottle or an alcohol bottle. The dispensing devices generally include a rotating capsule (perhaps with a quantity of flavor or nutritional supplements in the capsule) that can be rotated to a position to dispense the contents of the capsule into the host vessel. Depending upon configuration, the act of dispensing may involve squeezing, shaking, or the simple passive step of permitting gravity to act on the contents of the capsule.

A photo-treatment device includes a non-opaque treatment substrate and a radiation-collector beside the substrate. The substrate is sized for a person at which radiation is to be emitted from above the substrate. The substrate has a front surface for receiving the person thereon and a back surface. The radiation-collector captures excess radiation peripheral to the substrate and redirects the excess radiation to the back surface of the substrate.

Photo-treatment device

A photo-treatment device includes a treatment region that has a front side at which source radiation is to be emitted and an opposite, back side. A plurality of light guides are located beside the treatment region. The light guides capture excess radiation peripheral to the treatment region and redirect the excess radiation toward the back side of the treatment region.

A wearable machine system includes a garment and a passive actuator mounted to the garment. The passive actuator is actuatable in response to involuntary movements of a wearer of the garment. A machine is coupled with the passive actuator such that actuation of the passive actuator responsive to the involuntary movements mechanically drives the machine.

A system and method are provided that include a communication system coupled to a vehicle, the communication system being configured to determine geospatial location data of the vehicle and transmit the geospatial location data to a server. At least one beacon communicates with the communication system and provides a reference location from which a part of the geospatial location data is determined. A mobile device is in communication with the server and is configured to receive geospatial location data of parked vehicles, compare the geospatial location data of the parked vehicles with geospatial reference location data of parking spaces in a parking lot to determine whether at least one parking space is available, and (communicate to the mobile device whether at least one parking space in the parking lot is available. The mobile device is configured to generate an output indicating whether at least one parking space is available.

An emissions control substrate. The emissions control substrate includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. A plurality of channels extend between the first end and the second end, and are configured to direct exhaust from an engine through the substrate. The emissions control substrate is three-dimensionally printed.

An air conditioning system having a compact configuration may include an evaporator and a heater core that have a cylindrical shape. The evaporator defines a cavity. The heater core is positioned within the cavity such that the evaporator and the heater core are coaxially positioned with each other about a center axis. The heater core is configured to rotate about the center axis to draw in air.

The present teachings provide for an exhaust system device including a substrate body, a pair of electrical leads, and a resistance heating element. The substrate body can include a plurality of first walls that can extend between an upstream end and a downstream end of the substrate body. The substrate body can include a plurality of second walls that can be transverse to the first walls and can extend between the upstream end and the downstream end. The first and second walls can define a plurality of channels. The pair of electrical leads can be configured to be coupled to a power source. The resistance heating element can be disposed within or on at least one of the first or second walls and can be electrically coupled to the electrical leads to receive power from the electrical leads.

The fuel injector tip is three-dimensionally printed.
