A closure assembly for a medical dispenser having tamper evident characteristics including a flexible tip cap dimensioned to be independently used with different sized medical dispensers. The tip cap is operatively disposed in enclosing relation to a discharge port of the medical dispenser and a retainer is disposed in surrounding relation to said tip cap concurrent to the operative disposition thereof relative to the discharge port. The retainer includes a clamping structure disposed in clamping relation to an exterior of said tip cap, wherein the clamping relation disposes the interior of the tip cap into fluid sealing engagement with the discharge port. After removal of the discharge port, reinsertion thereof is prevented by deformation of the tip cap into an insertion blocking concurrent to maintenance the clamping relation.

Assembly for a medical connector

A closure assembly for a medical dispenser including a cover and a tip cap removably disposed therein. A flexible retaining member including a plurality of flexible fingers is/are angularly positioned within the cover in both a retaining relation and a blocking position, which respectively restrict removal of the tip cap from the cover and a reinsertion of the tip cap, back into the cover, subsequent to its removal. Structurally distinguishable but similarly operable embodiments include the plurality of flexible fingers connected to and extending angularly outward from an interior of the cover or connected to an exterior of the tip cap.

Flex tec closure assembly for a medical dispenser

A closure assembly for a medical dispenser which may include a one-piece tip cap having a flow restrictor and a removably connected sleeve disposed in surrounding relation to the flow restrictor. The tip cap further includes an access opening and an oppositely disposed closed end, wherein the flow restrictor is structured for a fluid sealing engagement with a discharge port of the medical dispenser, passing through said access opening. The closed end includes removably attached inner and outer end segments respectively formed on the flow restrictor and the sleeve and are collectively structured to define a removable connection between the flow restrictor and sleeve. A cover may be fixedly attached to the sleeve in overlying, covering relation to exterior surfaces of the inner and outer end segments.

Closure for a medical dispenser including a one-piece tip cap

A closure assembly for a medical device, preferably in the form of a tamper evident closure, having an outer sleeve including an open end and a closed end. A tip cap includes a flow restrictor disposed within the sleeve in accessible relation by the medical device through the open end. An indicator member is removably connected to the tip cap within the sleeve and a retainer member is connected to an interior of the sleeve in an interruptive, disconnecting relation to the indicator member by a snap-fit connection. The indicator member is captured within said hollow interior upon removal of said tip cap from the sleeve through the open end. An end cap may be attached to the sleeve, to define a closed end thereof, by a snap-fit connection similar to, but distinguishable from, the snap-fit connection between the retainer member and the interior of the sleeve.

Closure assembly having a snap-fit construction

A shield for a port closure of a medical container includes housing comprising two movably connected housing segments, each having a hollow interior and an open end, movable between open and closed orientations. A lock assembly is structured to define a fixed locked connection between the housing segments in the closed orientation and includes first and second lock members connected within different ones of the housing segments in a non-accessible location when the housing segments are in the closed orientation. A retainer is disposed within the housing in a capturing orientation relative to the closure therein, concurrent to the closed orientation. A latch assembly is connected to the housing segments and structured to retain said housing segments in said closed orientation, independently of and concurrently with the fixed locked connection of the lock assembly.

Tamper evident shield

An assembly, for packaging and safely disposing of a needle structure, including a housing having at least one containment structure. The containment structure includes a hinge movably interconnecting a base and a needle retaining segment, between open and closed orientations. The retaining segment includes a compartment removably containing the needle structure therein and the base includes a chamber for reception of the compartment and medical needle therein, when in the closed orientation. The hinge normally biases the retaining segment and compartment outwardly at substantially a predetermined angular orientation relative to said base, in the open orientation, to facilitate access to the medical needle through an access opening in the compartment. A closure is fixedly connected to and movable with both the base and the retaining segment and is structured to removably secure said housing in said closed orientation.

Needle packaging and disposal assembly

A tamper evident assembly for attachment to a medical connector including a tamper evident cap having an end cap and a tip cap movably and removably disposed in an operative position within the end cap. A retaining structure on the end cap and a retention structure on the tip cap are cooperatively structured to define an interruptive engagement and unidirectional passage of the retention structure over said retaining structure, when disposing the tip cap in the operative position. The interruptive engagement also defines an abutting engagement of said retaining structure with said retention structure, wherein the abutting engagement is preventative of passage of said retention structure over said retaining structure, concurrent to disposition of said tip cap out of said operative position. An included flow controller regulates fluid flow through a connector attached to the tamper evident cap and may establish a path of fluid flow with an attached conduit and the attached connector.

Tamper evident assembly

A tamper evident closure assembly for a fitting including, but not limited to, use in combination with a female fixture or an enteral fixture. A cap is connectable in flow restricting relation to the fitting and includes an indicator member removably connected to an exterior thereof. A housing is dimensioned to removably contain the cap and the connected indicator member. Subsequent to the fixture being connected to the cap, a removal thereof results in the indicator member being detached from the cap and movably disposed in a captured, detached orientation within the housing. Tampering may be evidenced by the indicator member remaining captivated within the housing which may be determined by visual observation or the generation of sound caused resulting from the housing being shaken.

Tamper evident cap for medical fitting

A tamper evident closure assembly for a fitting including, but not limited to, use in combination with a female fixture or an enteral fixture. A cap is connectable in flow restricting relation to the fitting and includes an indicator member removably connected to an exterior thereof. A housing is dimensioned to removably contain the cap and the connected indicator member. Subsequent to the fixture being connected to the cap, a removal thereof results in the indicator member being detached from the cap and movably disposed in a captured, detached orientation within the housing. Tampering may be evidenced by the indicator member remaining captivated within the housing which may be determined by visual observation or the generation of sound caused resulting from the housing being shaken. An included drive assembly is structured for concurrent rotation of the housing and the indicator member one direction and relative movement there between upon rotation of at least a housing in an opposite direction.

A system for handling and dispensing a plurality of products, including a package having a chamber configured to contain the plurality of products in a predetermined aligned relation to one another and a base disposed in surrounding relation to said chamber. A retaining structure is disposed within an interior of the base in retaining relation with the plurality of products and an access device is disposable in opening engagement with the retaining structure and in accessible relation with an interior of the chamber and the plurality of products therein. The access device comprises a path of travel of the plurality of products out of said chamber when disposed in opening relation to the retaining structure and is structured to assume an interface orientation wherein said access device is disposed in interconnected relation between the package and a dispensing assembly.

System for handling and dispensing a plurality of products

A closure assembly for a medical device including an administering device such as, but not limited to, a prefilled syringe, includes a housing having an access opening, a stop member disposed therein and an end cap. A tip cap, attachable in a flow restricting relation to the medical device is disposed within the housing and is removably connected to a base, wherein the stop member restricts removal of the flow restrictor from the housing through the access opening. The base is disposed in a captured orientation between the stop member and the end cap. The flow restrictor is disconnected from the base when a predetermined force is applied to flow restrictor, as the housing is rotationally attached to the medical device. The flow restrictor remains attached in flow restricting relation to the medical device while being disconnected from the base until the housing is detached from the medical device.

Tamper evident closure assembly for a medical device

A closure assembly for a medical fitting including a cap, connectable in flow restricting relation to the fitting and adjustably connected to an end section having a base removably connected thereto. A primary drive assembly and a secondary drive assembly are each independently disposed in interconnecting relation between the cap and the end section. The primary and secondary drive assemblies are respectively structured to facilitate fastening and unfastening of the fitting and the cap upon oppositely directed, relative rotation between the fitting and the cap in a fastening direction and in an unfastening direction. An exterior housing may be fixedly connected to the end section and includes a hollow interior dimensioned to receive and/or retained the cap and the base therein.

Closure assembly for medical fitting

A closure assembly for a medical device structured to provide an indication of tampering comprising an outer sleeve including an indicator window formed therein. An end cap is connected to the sleeve and movable there with and includes an indicator shield attached thereto. A tip cap is movably retained within the sleeve and includes an indicator member movable with the tip cap and detachable therefrom. The indicator window is disposed in visual alignment with either the indicator member or the indicator shield dependent on a state of use of the closure assembly.

Closure assembly for a medical device

A noise tamper evident cap assembly for a medical injection device is provided. The assembly includes a sleeve assembly having a sidewall formed circumferentially around a tip cap, and being permanently affixed to a bottom cap. At least one noise fin is formed along an interior of the side wall and disposed in at least partially obstructing and overlying relations relative to a bottom portion of said tip cap, such that the removal of the tip cap will cause an interaction with said noise fin(s) and create an audible indicator. The tip cap is removably connected to the bottom cap via an engagement mechanism, which is also obstructed by the noise fin(s). The bottom cap is structured and dimensioned to enclose a dispensing portion of the medical injection device.

Noise evident tamper cap

A closure assembly for a syringe having a nozzle or access portion and a discharge port including a closure cap or syringe cap having a access engaging portion removably connectible in flow restricting relation to the discharge port. A connecting structure is mounted on the access engaging portion and disposed and configured to define an interactive engagement with an attachment structure of the nozzle or access portion of the syringe. Structural and operative features of the connecting structure enable a 'push-on connection' of the closure cap or syringe cap to the nozzle or access portion and a 'rotate-off disconnection' of the closure cap or syringe cap from the nozzle or access portion. The closure cap or syringe cap may be used independently of or in combination with an end cap and an included indicator member, wherein the combination closure cap or syringe cap and end cap define a tamper evident cap for the syringe.
