A delivery device for delivering substance to bone includes a luer portion configured to be detachably coupled to a bit driver, the luer portion having a luer thread. A bit portion is rigidly coupled the luer portion, and the bit portion is configured to accommodate the bit driver. A fluted portion is rigidly coupled to the bit portion, the fluted portion comprising a flute, the flute configured to create a hole in the bone. A conduit extends through the luer portion and the bit portion, at least partially through the fluted portion. The flute defines an aperture extending from the conduit entirely through the flute, and the aperture is configured to allow a substance to pass therethrough.

An intraosseous needle includes a cylindrical shaft. The cylindrical shaft includes a first portion comprising a plurality of threads protruding from the cylindrical shaft. The cylindrical shaft includes a second portion comprising a plurality of fenestrations, disposed between the first portion and a distal end of the cylindrical shaft, wherein the cylindrical shaft is continuous and smooth within the second portion, and where the continuous, smooth second portion is longer than the first portion. The intraosseous needle also includes a needle head extending from a proximal end of the cylindrical shaft.

The at least partially closed first end and/or second end is configured to be opened for use of the medical instrument, such that the medical instrument can pass through both the first and second ends of the body portion during use, while the inner side wall surrounds a portion of the medical instrument. The body portion is configured for use during a medical procedure using the medical instrument, for example, as a tissue protector or a drilling guide.

The trochanteric fracture nail includes: a substantially cylindrical wall defining a longitudinal bore; at least one lateral bore intersecting the longitudinal bore; and a detent on an inner surface of at least one of the at least one lateral bore. The lag screw system includes a lag screw and an interference member. The lag screw includes: an annular body defining a substantially hollow central bore; and a keel located along the annular body. The keel is adapted and configured to substantially lie within an outer profile of the annular body when in a neutral position. The interference member is adapted and configured to displace the keel radially to resist motion of the annular body by engaging with the detent of the trochanteric fracture nail.

An intraosseous needle assembly includes a needle having a first cylindrical shaft. The shaft having a distal end, a proximal end, and a wall defining an inner channel. The first cylindrical shaft includes threading protruding from the wall along a proximal portion of the first cylindrical shaft. The needle further includes a needle head extending from the proximal end of the first cylindrical shaft. The needle assembly may further include a stylet, the stylet having a second cylindrical shaft having a first end and a second end and a stylet head extending from the second end. The stylet head includes a proximal surface and a distal surface, a pair of substantially parallel second side walls, a pair of rounded end sections joining the second side walls, a protrusion extending from the distal surface, and a tapered section extending from the distal surface to the second cylindrical shaft.

The intraosseous needle includes a distal end configured for insertion into a bone and a proximal end configured to extend from the bone. The handle is configured to releasably engage the intraosseous needle. The handle includes a cylindrical body portion, a handle portion, and a channel. The cylindrical body portion includes a distal end configured to receive the proximal end of the intraosseous needle. The handle portion extends from the cylindrical body portion and has a bulb-like cross-sectional shape and opposing first and second substantially planar surfaces. The channel is configured to receive the proximal end of the intraosseous needle.
