A codeless receptacle tester including outlet tester circuitry, a housing, and an indicator section. The outlet tester circuitry is configured to perform a plurality of electrical outlet testing functions. The housing has a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an enclosure that encloses the outlet tester circuitry. The indicator section is electrically connected to the outlet tester circuitry and has a plurality of indicators. Each indicator of the plurality of indicators is configured to provide a codeless indication of an associated wiring condition of an electrical outlet.

A shore power cord includes a power supply connector electrically connected to a vehicle connector. In some cases, the vehicle connector includes features to selectively secure the vehicle connector to a vehicle power receptacle inlet. In some cases, the shore power cord includes a test module that evaluates the condition of the cord set and a power supply when the cord set is connected to the power supply.

An apparatus for pulling a cable through a conduit includes a frame that has a base. The apparatus further includes a boom that has at least one roller configured to guide a rope connected to the cable along the boom. The boom also includes a main boom pivotally connected to the base and an upper boom pivotally connected to the main boom. A drive unit connects to the boom and includes a rotatable spool configured to pull the rope along the boom. The apparatus further includes a lift pivotally connected to the frame and the boom. The lift is operable to move the boom relative to the frame.

A cable clasp comprises a tail including an engagement face. The cable clasp further comprises a head including a handle that connects to the tail and defines a mouth opening into which the tail is movable. The cable clasp is biased towards a closed-loop position in which at least a portion of the tail is disposed in the mouth opening. The head further includes a lock having a catch engageable with the engagement face in a lock position to: 1) prevent motion of the tail relative to the head in a first direction, and 2) permit motion of the tail relative to the head in a second direction opposite the first direction by sliding the catch over the engagement face. The catch and the engagement face are also disengageable in a release position to permit motion of the tail relative to the head in both the first and second directions.

Preferably, a plug on the outlet tester is inserted into a non-functional socket located on the detection unit to form a multi-scanner device with a detachable outlet tester.

A tester is disclosed for testing a wiring state of a live electrical receptacle outlet. The tester comprises a body having a display located thereon and a plug extending from the body. The display is configured to selectively provide a text indicator. When the plug of the tester is received in the electrical outlet, the display indicates the wiring state of the electrical outlet.

The present invention provides an insulation displacement connector that is suitable for the tool-less connection of wires of various gages. The combination of channels having a reduction in effective diameter and blades having various gaps restricts the insertion of the wires such that an appropriately-sized pair of blades can pierce the insulation to contact the metallic core of each wire. Because of this configuration, the wire connector does not require excessive force to bite down on the wires. Because a large force is not required, the insulation displacement connector can be finger operated and no separate tool is necessary.

The present invention provides an electrical connector for connection to multiple conductors. The connector comprises a connector housing and at least two spring clamps in the housing. Each spring clamp has an open position to permit insertion of a conductor and a closed position in which the spring clamp engages the conductor to establish an electrical connection therewith. The connector further comprises a cam shaft having at least two axially spaced cam positions thereon. One of the cam positions is aligned with each spring clamp to open the spring clamps when the cam shaft is turned to an open position and to allow the spring clamps to close when the cam shaft is turned to a closed position. The connector further comprises a lever on said cam shaft for turning the cam shaft between the open and closed positions. The connector further comprises passageways in the connector housing, one for each spring clamp, leading a conductor inserted into the passageway into the corresponding spring clamp when the spring clamp is in the open position.
