A method, computing device and computer program product generate a temporary password to control access to a record created in response to an electronic message. An electronic message is parsed to separately identify a plurality of fields that provide different types of information. Record(s) are accessed from a database that are associated with the information provided by at least one field. An action to be initiated by the electronic message is determined to either be taken or to be rejected based upon information provided by the field(s) of the electronic message and also based upon information from the record(s) accessed from the database. If the action is rejected, a record of the electronic message is created for transmission along with information regarding the rejection. A temporary password is also generated to control access to the record created regarding the electronic message and its rejection. The response includes the temporary password.

Method and apparatus for generating and providing a temporary password to control access to a record created in response to an electronic message

A computing device, method and computer program product are provided to automatically reverse an action indicated by an electronic message. In relation to a method, an electronic message is parsed to separately identify a plurality of fields of the electronic message providing different types of information. The method constructs a response to the electronic message that reverses the action indicated by the electronic message and transmits the response to the electronic message to a request processor that provided the electronic message. The method constructs an alternative message that provides an alternative action to the action indicated by the electronic message and transmits the alternative message to a source. In response to the alternative message, the method receives a subsequent request from the source. If the alternative action is to be taken, the method processes the subsequent request in a different manner than the request that generated the electronic message.

Computing system and method for automatically reversing an action indicated by an electronic message

A method, apparatus and computer program product modify messaging behavior based upon parsing and different processing of different portions of a request. In a method, a request is received that includes a first and second differently formatted portions. The method parses the request to separately identify the first and second portions, analyzes the second portion of the request and causes a message based at least in part upon the first portion to be transmitted to a request processor. Based upon the message including the first portion, the method receives a response from the request processor. Based upon the response from the claims processor, the method causes a response to the request to be provided. The message to the request processor or the response to request is modified or an additional message to another entity is transmitted based upon an analysis of the second portion of the request.

Method and apparatus for parsing and differently processing different portions of a request

A method, computing device and computer program product parse an electronic message and construct multiple differently prioritized messages therefrom. For a method, an electronic message is parsed to separately identify the first and second differently formatted portions and the electronic message is analyzed to identify an action to be taken based thereupon. If a first action is to be taken, a first message is constructed based upon the first portion formatted in accordance with the first predefined format to be transmitted to a first request processor and a first response is then received therefrom. A second message is constructed based upon the second portion formatted in accordance with the second predefined format. The first response is analyzed and, if the first response is of a first type, the second message is transmitted to a second request processor and a second response is then received from the second request processor.

Method and apparatus for parsing an electronic message and constructing multiple differently prioritized messages therefrom

A method, computing device and computer program product parse an electronic message and construct multiple differently prioritized messages. An electronic message is parsed to separately identify first and second differently formatted portions and the electronic message is analyzed to identify an action to be taken. In response to identification of a first action, a first message is constructed based upon the first portion to be transmitted to a first request processor and a first response is then received from the first request processor. A second message is constructed based upon the second portion. The method analyzes the first response and, when the first response is of a first type, causes the second message to be transmitted to a second request processor and based upon the second message, receives a second response from the second request processor. The method then constructs a response to the electronic message.

Method and apparatus for parsing and differently processing electronic messages

Systems and methods are provided for determining and communicating proper pricing information and other pre- and post-adjudication information, such as an availability of a lower price for a prescription, as part of the processing of a healthcare transaction. A healthcare transaction, such as a healthcare claim transaction, may be received by the service provider computer from a pharmacy computer. The service provider computer may determine if an adjudication platform is available for the prescribed product. The service provider computer may generate a modified healthcare claim transaction and transmit the modified healthcare claim transaction to a claims processor computer for adjudication. The service provider computer may receive an approved adjudicated claim transaction response and perform any post-adjudication on the response. The approved adjudicated claim transaction response may be transmitted to the pharmacy.
