A non-woven web, comprising one or more polymeric fibers, wherein the number-average fiber diameter distribution of said one or more polymeric fibers conforms to a Johnson unbounded distribution. Non-woven webs comprising such polymeric fibers are rendered with mean-flow pore size and porosity desirable for specific filtration applications such as hepafiltration.

A blister package is provided in which the lidding component includes a tear-resistant nonwoven layer and a barrier layer wherein the controlled delamination of the nonwoven layer increases the puncture resistance, thereby improving the child-resistant properties of the package.

Polyester film is disclosed having a thickness not greater than six microns with cubic calcium carbonate incorporated therein resulting in a Kt.sup.-0.5 of at least 21, where K is a stack stiffness constant and t is film thickness in microns. The film exhibits excellent slittability and winding performance, providing film rolls of uniform hardness with sufficient compressive strength to avoid film buckling. The film can be employed in capacitors, digital stencils and thermal transfer media.
