The subject of this application is the use of film-forming polyurethanes that are used in hair care agents or mixtures of these polyurethanes with other polymers in pharmaceutical preparations for dermal or transdermal administration of active ingredients, as well as patches and pharmaceutical preparations that contain these hair care polyurethanes.

The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a hydrogel that comprises a carboxylic acid diester, a C-Calkyl alcohol, an active ingredient and a polymer matrix. The invention also relates to the use of a carboxylic acid diester as a transdermal permation enhancer for an active ingredient in a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a hydrogel, whereby the composition comprises a polymer matrix and a C-Calkyl alcohol. The invention also relates to a sweat-resistant composition in the form of a hydrogel, which comprises an acrylic polymer in combination with a cellulose derivative.

Pharmaceutical composition in the form of a hydrogel for transdermal administration of active ingredients

The invention provides novel hypoallergenic and non-irritant medical skin care formulations being water-in-oil emulsions. The formulations are free from ingredients with a known allergenic potential, such as fragrances, preservatives, colorings, plant extracts, PEGs, cetylstearyl alcohol, lanolin alcohol, lower alcohols and proteins, thus being particularly suitable for patients with sensitive dry skin. The skin care formulations of the invention are useful in the prophylaxis and treatment of dry, sensitive skin or in the therapy or therapy support of eczematous or psoriatic skin and exhibit favorable sensorial properties. The invention furthermore provides a method of manufacturing the novel hypoallergenic and non-irritant skin care formulations.

Hypoallergenic and non-irritant skin care formulations

The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition having the following constituents: azelaic acid, polyacrylic acid, triacylglyceride, propylene glycol, polysorbate, soya lecithin, water and salts. The composition is a hydrogel which is suited for the treatment of rosacea, presbyderma, melasma or skin irritations.
