A vehicle body structure includes a left tunnel frame extending along a floor tunnel to a dash lower panel, a left dash frame extending upward from a front end of the left tunnel frame to a dash upper panel, and a dash cross member extending in a vehicle-body width direction and across the left dash frame. The left dash frame is provided on a vehicle-cabin-side surface of the dash lower panel. The dash cross member is provided on an engine-room-side surface of the dash lower panel. The dash cross member bridges a left front pillar and a right front pillar.

Vehicle body structure

In a vehicle front body structure, a subframe is provided below a left front side frame and a right front side frame. The left front side frame has a first fragile portion. The subframe has a second fragile portion and an extension portion. When a bumper beam's left end portion and a left bumper beam extension are crushed by an impact load, a front surface of the bumper beam's left end portion comes to substantially the same position as a front edge portion of the extension portion.

Vehicle front body structure

Vehicle front body structure includes, in each of its left and right sections, a damper housing having mounted thereon an upper portion of a suspension damper; a front side frame having the housing attached thereto; a damper housing connection bracket inserted in an opening of the frame; a welding section formed on the housing and fixed to the bracket; a lid fitted in the opening to form the frame as a closed-sectional-shape structure. The body structure also includes a collar nut provided within the side frame and supporting a sub frame, and each of the housings has a lower section connected to the collar nut.

A structural support bracket for a rear cargo pan of a vehicle includes a forward end that is secured to a rear cross member and a rearward end that is secured to the rear cargo pan adjacent a center portion thereof so as to support the rear cargo pan against deflection during use. The forward end of the support bracket is secured to both a downwardly directed surface and a rearwardly directed surface of the rear cross member. The structural support bracket reduces deflection of the cargo pan and reduces generation of impact boom noises otherwise caused thereby.

Impact boom noise reducing panel reinforcement

A main beam support mounting bracket formed from aluminum for a vehicle. The main beam support mounting bracket has a first lateral end that is mechanically secured to a main beam support and a second lateral end that is mechanically secured to a center support. A bottom wall of the main beam support mounting bracket includes slotted mounting openings for receipt of fasteners for attachment to a floor tunnel of a vehicle floor and frame cross-member. The fasteners threadingly engage weld-nuts on the frame cross-member. The bottom wall includes first, second, and third planar surfaces that interact with first, second, and third surfaces of the floor tunnel in the vehicle. Further, the main beam support mounting bracket provides for lateral attachment with the main beam support and the center support.

Hanger beam assembly

A main beam support is formed from aluminum and includes an upper end and a lower end. The upper end is attached to a first end of a main beam hanger, while the lower end is attached to a main beam support mounting bracket that is secured to a vehicle floor. The lower end of the main beam support includes first and second sockets with downwardly directed extensions. The first and second sockets are adapted to receive mounting posts that extend from the main beam support mounting bracket. The first socket is disposed relatively vertically above and rearward of the second socket. Integral keys of the main beam support mounting bracket cooperate with the downwardly directed extensions during assembly to align and restrict movement of the main beam support in forward/rearward and up/down directions.
