A device for latching a first connector to a complementary second connector. The device including a female element that is fixed to the first connector and delimits a housing open axially rearward, at least one elastically deformable retaining finger that projects radially inside the housing of the female element, a male element that is carried by the second connector and includes a latching front section furnished with a retaining notch, the latching section being adapted to be inserted axially from the rear toward the front into the housing of the female element as far as a front latching position in which the retaining finger is received in the retaining notch to immobilize the first connector axially on the second connector.

Device for latching a connector device and associated tool

A latching device for latching a first front connector to a complementary second rear connector. The latching device comprises at least a front latching element supported by the front connector, the front latching element comprising a rear latching segment. The latching device further comprises a rear latching element supported by the rear connector, the rear latching element comprising a front latching segment and being mounted moveable axially from a rear unlatching position to a front latching position in which the front and rear connectors are immobilize axially together, characterized in that the latching device comprises an axial sleeve supported by the rear connector, the sleeve being opened axially towards the front and the rear, the rear latching element being mounted movable axially into the sleeve from its rear unlatching position to its front latching position.

Device for latching a connector device

An electrical connector may include an insulating body including a series of at least two parallel and adjacent longitudinal cells which may be aligned. The electrical connector may include a series of electrical contact elements, each of which may include a locking section which may include at least one locking notch and which may be configured to be received axially in one of the cells and to be axially immobilized therein. The electrical connector may include a series of locking elements each of which may be configured to retain axially, at least towards the rear, a locking section of an associated electrical contact element. Each locking element may include a locating base fixed axially relative to the insulating body and at least one locking finger, a free end of which may be received in a locking notch of the associated contact element to retain it axially, wherein each base may be arranged outside the locking section of the associated cell.

A security arrangement for an electrical connector for connecting an electrical memory card to contacts wherein the connector includes a bottom plate made of insulating material including a series of blades for contact with a land of the card. The arrangement includes a protection element which bears at least one protection conductor circuit that at least partly surrounds the bottom plate of the connector. The bottom plate of the connector includes at least one additional contact blade including a top portion for connecting with the protection circuit of the protection element and a bottom portion for connecting with the at least one track connected to a detection circuit.

Fraud preventing security arrangement for an electrical connector for chip cards

A smart card connector with signal blade contacts having signal tails () lying at the rear end of the connector frame, and with the connector being provided with a shield structure () that prevents a person from fraudulently contacting the signal tails during use of the connector. The shield structure includes a grounded conductive shield () having a rear portion that lies rearward of the signal tails. The conductive shield is mounted on an insulative barrier () that has a front portion () lying over the signal tails during use of the connector. The insulative barrier is pivotally mounted on the frame, between an open position wherein the shield structure leaves a region above the signal tails exposed during soldering, and a protect position wherein the shield structure blocks a region above and rearward of the signal tails.

Smart card connector with fraud protection

A smart card connector with a signal blade contact (, FIG.) and a ground blade contact (), wherein the signal blade contact has a signal tail () at the rear end of the connector frame, and wherein the connector is provided with a shield structure () that prevents a person from fraudulently contacting the signal tail during use of the connector. The shield structure includes an insulative barrier () with a hole () through which the signal tail extends, and also includes a sheet metal shield () with a rear portion that extends largely around the signal tail to ground any conductor that is fraudulently inserted against the signal tail. The sheet metal shield has a transverse tongue () that extends to and engages the ground blade contact. The insulative barrier has a slot that extends largely around the signal tail, and the sheet metal rear shield portion lies in the slot.

Fraud protection for smart card connector

A compact smart card connector that can hold and connect to two smart cards (Cs, Ci) includes a base plate () that holds base contacts () and a cover plate () that holds cover contacts () and that is pivotally connected to the base plate. An intermediate plate device () holds first and second smart cards (Cs, Ci) respectively against its upper and lower surfaces () with contact pads (Ps) of the cards facing away from the plate. The intermediate plate lies between the base and cover, so when the cover is pushed down, this pushes the cards against the base and cover contacts. The intermediate plate device has coupling plates () with slots that allow the intermediate plate device to slide to lock the cover in its lowered position.
