A vehicle seat frame assembly includes two lateral upright side members and a brace connected between the upright side members to form a lower backrest frame. At least one of the upright side members has an upper end and it is rigid from a bottom of the lower backrest frame to the upper end, the upper end further including a point for attaching or passing a seat belt. An upper backrest frame is located above the lower backrest frame and is positioned below the upper end of the at least one upright side member. A hinge is provided for mounting the upper backrest frame at a lower edge thereof to the upright side members for allowing pivotal movement of the upper backrest frame relative to the lower backrest frame.

Backrest framework of an automobile vehicle seat

In an automobile vehicle, a seat assembly includes a seat belt and a seat belt inertia reel attached to the seat. The reel is equipped with belt locking means. Also included is a seat pan position adjustment means that enables a seat pan to be inclined by pivoting around a transverse horizontal axis. The inertia reel is attached to the seat pan and is installed so as to pivot around an axis that is substantially parallel to the transverse horizontal axis. A correction mechanism corrects the angular position of the inertia reel with respect to the seat pan according to the inclination of the seat pan.

The device includes an unlocking control button sliding in a guide well between (1) a position indicating unlocking, where the head of the button is clearly visible outside of the well, and (2) an unlocking control position where a lower end of the button pushes a lock into an unlocking position enabling the disengagement of a locking component. The device includes a spring returning the button to its position indicating unlocking, and control means to bring the button into an intermediary position where its head is more or less flush with the edge of the well, only when the locking component is in the locking position.

The headrest (1) comprises a translation guidance assembly (10) guided along a spindle (2) attached to the seat back and an articulation assembly (20) that is mounted swivelling on the guidance assembly, around an axis (7). A locking member (30) swivels on the guidance assembly (10) around an axis (8) that is parallel to the axis (7), between a locked and an unlocked position. The locking member comprises a pad (31) shaped to press on the spindle (2) in the locked position, and a head (32) that is shaped to lock on a curved section (23), attached to the articulation assembly. In this locked position, that the locking member takes under the effect of inertia after a collision, the headrest can neither pivot backwards nor slide downwards. Application of the headrest is directed to automotive vehicle seats.
