Framed mirror

A frame lit mirror component includes an extruded frame member. The extruded frame member further includes a mirror mounting edge. The mirror mounting edge extends along a longitudinal direction of the extruded frame member. The mirror mounting edge is sized to receive an edge of a mirror. A light source volume extends along the longitudinal direction of the extruded frame member. An angle exists between the mirror mounting edge and the light source volume. The light source volume is sized to receive a light source, such that when the light source is in an on-state light radiates from the light source volume.

Extruded frame members are connected together to create a frame around a mirror that be illuminated from in front of the mirror. The extruded frame members contain various components in channels or cavities. An extruded frame member can have a channel that contains a light source. A diffuser can be secured over the light source. Another channel is used to hold a mirror in place. The front lit mirror can be hung on a wall utilizing a channel in an extruded frame member. The extruded frame members contain electrical components and mechanical hardware. The hardware is used to attach a plurality of extruded frame members together and to attach an optional decorative frame to an extruded frame member. An extruded frame member is made from transparent or translucent material and can radiate light from a light source contained therein. An extruded frame member is opaque and cannot radiate light.

A mirror assembly mountable to a wall includes a mirror platform having a front surface and a rear surface, a chassis engageable with the mirror platform to define a mirror assembly interior, at least one electrical component disposed within the mirror assembly interior, and a mounting structure. The mounting structure includes a support member mounted to one of the rear surface of the mirror platform and the chassis and a hanger member mounted to the other of the rear surface of the mirror platform and the chassis. The hanger member is removably securable on the support member to mount the mirror platform to the chassis.

A mirror assembly mountable to a wall includes a mirror platform having a front surface and a rear surface, a chassis engageable with the mirror platform to define a mirror assembly interior, at least one electrical component disposed within the mirror assembly interior, and a mounting structure. The mounting structure includes a support member mounted to one of the rear surface of the mirror platform and the chassis and a hanger member mounted to the other of the rear surface of the mirror platform and the chassis. The hanger member is removeably securable on the support member to mount the mirror platform to the chassis.

A mirror assembly includes a mirror and a hanger assembly secured to the mirror. The hanger assembly has a hanger fitting that defines a plurality of apertures, and a locking element that is slidably coupled to the hanger fitting to be movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The mirror assembly further includes a chassis having a plurality of support members sized and positioned to engage the plurality of apertures in the hanger fitting. When the locking element is in the locked position, the plurality of support members are prevented from disengaging the hanger fitting.

An apparatus includes a first mirror platform; the first mirror platform has a first portion and a second portion. A media display device is disposed behind the first mirror platform, such that within the second portion information displayed on the media display device is visible when the media display device is on and is viewed from in front of the first mirror platform. A mounting platform is coupled to a back of the first mirror platform to form a door assembly and the mounting platform can also be a mirror platform.
