Aspects herein are directed to a pocket structure that facilitates the secure storage of items stowed within the pocket structure. The pocket structure includes inner and outer pocket layers defining a pocket space therebetween. The pocket structure further includes a first tapered channel structure positioned in the pocket space between the outer pocket layer and the inner pocket layer, that has an inlet opening and an outlet opening opposite the inlet opening. The first tapered channel structure providing a passageway to the pocket space from the inlet opening edge to the outlet opening edge; and a first tether structure extending from the tapered channel structure to one or more of the outer pocket layer, the inner pocket layer, and a seam joining the outer pocket layer and the inner pocket layer.

This disclosure is directed to articles of footwear with adjustable dimensions. More specifically, the articles of footwear disclosed herein include sole structures with adjustable dimensions. In some instances, an article of footwear includes one or more removable insert members configured for adjusting the dimensions of a foot-receiving cavity of the article of footwear. Additionally or alternatively, a sole structure can include one or more flexible portions that can move between compressed and expanded states to accommodate feet of various dimensions. To accommodate the adjustable dimensions of the sole structures, an upper of the article of footwear can be stretchable.

Aspects herein are directed to a pocket structure that facilitates the secure storage of items stowed within the pocket structure. The pocket structure includes inner and outer pocket layers and a funnel-shaped structure positioned in the space between the inner and outer pocket layers. The funnel-shaped structure comprises an inlet opening that forms an opening to the pocket structure and an outlet opening that is in communication with the space between the inner and outer pocket layers. The outlet opening has a smaller circumference compared to the inlet opening.

An attachment system for use with a prosthetic device includes a first component including a first surface, and further including one of a channel and a projection disposed on an opposite side of the first component than the first surface. An apparatus, system, and method provides blind and vision impaired (B/VI) persons with improved Detectible Guidance Markers (DGMs) for navigation in a wide variety of environments, providing information regarding the presence, type, direction, and proximity of various navigational obstacles. A representative but non-exclusive example of an invented unitary DGM includes a plurality of tactually-detectable informational members, including a base member and one or more integral directional members configured to be disposed at a surface of a navigational substrate. A discrete number of directional members conveys an obstacle identity, while different lengths of directional members, and characteristics of other informational members, convey a direction and/or a proximity to an obstacle. Additionally, numerous structural alterations to a surrounding substrate surface cooperatively supplement the detectability and information-conveying benefits of a DGM.

Numerous embodiments of a carrier substrate having thermochromatic materials are described. In one embodiment of the present invention, a carrier substrate has a visible surface, and a thermochromatic material is disposed near the carrier substrate. The thermochromatic material produces a visual change of the visible surface when an activation temperature of the thermochromatic material is reached.

A method for forming electronic inductors. A model of the desired shape of the inductor is first formed in wax or other soft material. It is compressed in a block of magnetically permeable material and then heated to remove the wax shape. The resultant cavity in the shape of the inductor is filled with conductive material to form an inductor within the magnetically permeable material block.
