Systems, methods, and devices perform unified demodulation operations for wireless communications devices. Methods may include receiving, at a buffer of a wireless communications device, a data packet, and performing, using a processing device, one or more synchronization operations based on one or more operational modes of a wireless communications protocol. Methods may additionally include identifying, using the processing device, a type of the data packet, configuring, using the processing device, a receive chain of the wireless communications device to perform a type of demodulation operation based on the identified type of the data packet.

Systems, methods, and devices for unified demodulation in wireless communications devices

Systems, methods, and devices estimate timing values for data transmission associated with wireless communications devices. Methods include receiving, at a transceiver of a wireless communications device, at least one symbol included in a data transmission, obtaining a plurality of samples of the at least one symbol, and generating, using one or more processors, a plurality of correlation values for each of the plurality of samples. Methods further include generating, using the one or more processors, a multi-sample interpolation model based on at least some of the plurality of correlation values and determining, using the one or more processors, an estimated maximum correlation value and a temporal offset value based on the multi-sample interpolation model, the temporal offset value being used for a time of arrival computation.

Systems, methods, and devices for timing recovery in wireless communications devices

Disclosed are methods and systems for tailoring the transmit power of a wireless device to the parameters of the device such as the process split, voltage, and temperature. The device may identify one or more parameters of the device such as identifying the process split, or sensing the operating voltage or temperature. The device may determine an updated transmit power based on the known parameter values identified and any unknown parameter values. The updated transmit power is determined to be a maximum transmit power that meets one or more target transmit metrics, such as EVM and spectral mask, when the device transmits based on the known parameter values and across a range of variations of the unknown parameter values. The device may adjust its transmit power based on the updated transmit power periodically.

Methods for setting transmit power in wireless devices

Systems and methods provide a first sample of audio data and detect speech onset in the first sample of the audio data. Responsive to detecting the speech onset, systems and methods switch from capturing second samples of the audio data at first intervals, to capturing the second samples of the audio data at second intervals. Systems and methods provide contiguous audio data using the second samples of the audio data captured at the first intervals and at least one captured portion of the second samples of the audio data captured at the second intervals.

Systems and methods for capturing noise for pattern recognition processing

Example systems and methods capture a first plurality of portions of audio data by periodically capturing the audio data at first intervals. Embodiments detect speech onset in the audio data. Responsive to detection of the speech onset, systems and methods switch from periodically capturing the audio data to continuously capturing the audio data. Embodiments combine at least one captured portion of the first plurality of captured portions of the audio data with the continuously captured audio data to provide contiguous audio data.

A modem includes a modulator and a demodulator. The demodulator includes a direct current removing (DCR) circuit to transition between an acquisition mode, where the DCR circuit operates with a first loop gain; and a tracking mode, where the DCR circuit operates with a second loop gain. The second loop gain is smaller than the first loop gain, and the timing of the transition between the acquisition mode and tracking mode is programmable.

A frequency-shift keying (FSK) demodulator includes a digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) based frequency estimator to convert a phase signal to a frequency signal, a frequency offset estimator to estimate and track direct current (DC) component of the frequency signal, and an average filter communicatively coupled to the frequency offset estimator to perform an accumulate-and-dump operation to improve a symbol-level signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the frequency signal.
