A probe for eddy current monitoring of the surface of a circumferential slot formed in a turbojet disk. The probe includes a stem fastened to a support and a first multi-element sensor constrained to move with the stem and configured to be inserted into the circumferential slot to perform the inspection, and a second multi-element sensor. The two multi-element sensors are disposed back to back, and the stem of the probe is mounted to pivot about its own axis to enable the two multi-element sensors to be inserted in the slot.

An inspection device for inspecting tangential recesses in a rotor disk by means of eddy currents is disclosed. The device includes a probe containing a plurality of sensors arranged to acquire a plurality of data series during a scan stroke, and the probe is mounted on moving equipment that is slidable in a support that is provided with two positioning members for co-operating with recesses neighboring the recess for inspection.

Using eddy currents for automatic inspection of a rectilinear hole formed in a metal part. An eddy-current probe is carried by a drive system associated with a positioning baseplate that carries a calibration part including a hole similar to the hole for inspection and in alignment with an orifice thereof.

Method and an installation for using eddy currents for non-destructive inspection with automatic calibration

Using eddy currents to inspect a hole that is possibly not rectilinear and/or of section that is not circular. The inspection device comprises a stick shaped and dimensioned to be capable of being engaged in said hole, at least one arm hinged to a support fastened to one end of the stick, an eddy current sensor being embedded in said arm, and resilient means for urging the arm outwards against the inside surface of the hole.

An installation for non-destructive inspection makes use simultaneously of sensors responsive to different physical characteristics. In an example, a sensor support, e.g. a kind of carriage having running wheels via which it comes into contact with the surface to be inspected, is fitted with two types of sensor, namely an eddy current sensor and at least one ultrasound sensor.
