A curable silicone rubber composition of the type referred to in industry as 'self-adhesive' or as having “selective adhesion” (hereafter referred to as “curable self-adhesive silicone rubber compositions”). The curable self-adhesive silicone rubber compositions comprise: (A) one or more organopolysiloxanes containing at least 2 alkenyl groups and/or alkynyl groups per molecule and having a viscosity in a range of 1000 mPa·s to 200,000 mPa·s at 25° C.; (B) an organopolysiloxane containing at least 2 or 3 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; (C) at least one hydrosilylation catalyst; (D) at least one reinforcing and optionally one or more non-reinforcing fillers; (E) an adhesion promoter; and (F) an oligomer which has been found to surprisingly provide heat-humidity stabilization.

Silicone rubber compositions

The present disclosure relates to hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber compositions having polyorganosiloxane cross-linkers containing at least two or at least three terminal silicon bonded hydrogen groups and one or more hydrosilylation cure inhibitor compounds selected from multiacrylates having at least three acrylate groups per molecule. Cured products resulting from the cure of such compositions and which may include elastomeric products are also disclosed. A hydrosilylation curable silicone composition comprises: (A) one or more polyorganosiloxanes containing at least two unsaturated groups per molecule, which unsaturated groups are selected from alkenyl and alkynyl groups and having a viscosity in a range of 1,000 to 200,000 mPa·s at 25° C.; (B) a polyorganosiloxane containing at least two terminal silicon bonded hydrogen groups; (C) at least one hydrosilylation catalyst; and (D) a hydrosilylation cure inhibitor comprising a multiacrylate compound having at least three acrylate groups per molecule.

Hydrosilylation cure inhibitors and use thereof

A liquid curable silicone elastomer composition is disclosed. The liquid curable silicone elastomer composition comprises an organopolysiloxane (A) containing at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per molecule, an organopolysiloxane (B) containing at least three silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, a platinum based catalyst (C), an inhibitor (D), and a silica filler (E). The organopolysiloxane (B) is a branched (or resinous) polymer, contains M siloxy units, and the at least three silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms are present on the M siloxy units. The inhibitor (D) is selected from the group consisting of acetylenic alcohols and their derivatives. The inhibitor (D) is present in the liquid curable silicone elastomer composition in an amount to provide a molar ratio&#x2014;of the inhibitor (D) to platinum in the catalyst (C)&#x2014;of from 150 to 900 (150:1 to 900:1).

Low temperature cure silicone elastomer

A thermal insulation structure for a substrate for use subsea, and a method of providing a thermal insulating structure. The structure comprises: an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer is the reaction product of a first part and a second part, wherein the weight ratio of the first part to the second part is from about 15:1 to 1:1. The first part comprises any of alkenyldialkyl terminated polydialkylsiloxane, alkenyldialkyl terminated polydialkylalkenylmethylsiloxane or mixtures thereof, which will individually or collectively have a viscosity of from 250 to 10000 mPa&#xb7;s at 25&#xb0; C., and a hydrosilylation catalyst. The second part comprises a mixture of organohydrogensiloxane having two Si&#x2014;H bonds per molecule and organohydrogensiloxane having at least three Si&#x2014;H bonds per molecule. The outer layer is the reaction product of a first part and a second part, wherein the weight ratio of the first part to the second part is from about 15:1 to 1:1. The first part comprises any of alkenyldialkyl terminated polydialkylsiloxane, alkenyldialkyl terminated polydialkylalkenylmethylsiloxane or mixtures thereof, which will individually or collectively have a viscosity of from 250 to 10000 mPa&#xb7;s at 25&#xb0; C., and a hydrosilylation catalyst. The second part comprises organohydrogensiloxane having at least two Si&#x2014;H bonds per molecule and alkenylated MQ silicone resin, wherein said M group comprises at least two Si-alkenyl bonds per molecule.

Thermal insulation structure

A liquid curable silicone elastomer composition is disclosed. The composition comprises: an organopolysiloxane (A) comprising: an organopolysiloxane (A1) containing at least 2 alkenyl groups bonded to silicon atom per molecule and having a total alkenyl content of from 0.01 to 1.5 mmol/g, and an organopolysiloxane (A2) containing at least 2 alkenyl groups bonded to silicon atom per molecule and having a total alkenyl content of from 5.0 to 15.0 mmol/g; an organopolysiloxane (B) comprising an organopolysiloxane (B1) containing at least 2 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule provided by siloxy units of the type (RHSiO)x where R is independently selected from hydrogen, an aliphatic a hydrocarbyl, an aromatic hydrocarbyl, or an organyl group and x&#x2265;2; a platinum based catalyst (C); an inhibitor (D) selected from the group consisting of acetylenic alcohols and their derivatives; and a silica filler (E).

Curable high hardness silicone composition and composite articles made thereof

A liquid curable silicone elastomer composition is disclosed. The liquid curable silicone elastomer composition comprises an organopolysiloxane (A) containing at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per molecule, an organopolysiloxane (B) containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, a platinum based catalyst (C), an inhibitor (D), and a silica filler (E). The organopolysiloxane (B) is a branched polymer, contains M siloxy units, and the at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms are present on the M siloxy units. The inhibitor (D) is selected from the group consisting of acetylenic alcohols and their derivatives. The inhibitor (D) is present in the liquid curable silicone elastomer composition in an amount to provide a molar ratio of the inhibitor (D) to platinum in the catalyst (C)&#x2014;of from 150 to 900 (150:1 to 900:1).
