A molded plastics component capable of being fitted onto a receiving part of a heat exchanger, is assembled to this heat exchanger by a crimping component adapted for at least partially enveloping that component. It includes a crimping part engaged in the receiving part to secure the two together. Application to assembling of a fixing component onto a motor-vehicle heat exchanger.

The invention concerns the field of heat exchanger header boxes, in particular in motor vehicle ventilation, heating and/or air conditioning installations. It is more particularly concerned with a connector adapted to be introduced into a header box. To prevent the connector becoming separated from the header box before the assembly is brazed together, the connector in accordance with the inventor includes a lug adapted to prevent movement in translation of the connector towards the outside of the header box.

In an air conditioning condenser having a fluid tank with interchangeable cartridge the tank is screwed axially into a connecting base which is in turn brazed to a header box of the condenser. It contains an interchangeable axial cartridge and is in communication with the header box through ducts provided in the connecting base. Applications include apparatus for air conditioning the passenger space of a motor vehicle.

A condenser for a motor vehicle air conditioning system, through which a refrigerant fluid flows, comprises a bundle of tubes fitted between two vertical headers, together with a separate reservoir which is installed vertically close to one of the headers. The walls which define the reservoir and associated header have respective vertical passages in the form of slots, each extending over the whole height of the condenser or header. A metal connecting plate has a first longitudinal edge portion and a second longitudinal edge portion, which are received in the respective slots in such a way that the two walls are immobilized against each other in the region of these passages. The connecting plate has at least one cut-out portion or bight through which the refrigerant fluid can flow between the header and the reservoir at a selected location.

A heat exchanger, especially a condenser for an air conditioning system in a motor vehicle, includes a tubular header which comprises a tubular wall formed with aligned holes in which the ends of tubes of the heat exchanger are fixed. The header has a fastening lug. The tubular header has a longitudinal slot, and the fastening lug is part of a component which also includes a spine portion from which the fastening lug projects. This component is inserted into the slot and is then brazed to the tubular wall of the header.
