Aspects of the disclosed technology provide solutions for controlling multiple displays (e.g., multiple display devices, multiple displays on a media device, etc.) using a remote control device. An example method can include receiving an image of a plurality of display devices. The method can include steps for analyzing the image to determine locations of the plurality of display devices, assigning a code specific to each of the plurality of display devices based on the image, and transmitting the code to a remote control. The code enables the remote control to independently operate each of the plurality of display devices.

Disclosed herein are system, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for generating a long exposure composite image (LECI) frame, wherein the LECI frame provides a summary of activity in a monitored environment over a duration of time. An embodiment captures, using an image-capturing device, a sequence of image frames over the duration of time using an optical sensor of the image-capturing device. The embodiment then generates the LECI frame, using an embedded low-power processor coupled to the optical sensor and dedicated to generating LECI frames, by combining the sequence of image frames. The embodiment then transmits the LECI frame to a network device using a transceiver coupled to the low-power processor.

In one aspect, an example method includes monitoring, by a hub station, a first channel activity level associated with a first channel of a plurality of channels within a particular frequency range. The hub station communicates with a low-energy device using the first channel. The method includes determining that the first channel activity level satisfies a threshold activity level and switching to a second channel of the plurality of channels to communicate with the low-energy device. The method includes notifying the low-energy device that the hub station switched to the second channel by sending an acknowledgement message to the low-energy device on the second channel in response to receiving a message from the low-energy device on the second channel. The message is sent to the hub station on the second channel after at least one unsuccessful attempt to send the message to the hub station on the first channel.

An embodiment operates by receiving a request to locate a control device, transmitting acoustic token transmission information to the control device to activate an electroacoustic transducer on the control device, receiving an acoustic signal including an acoustic token signal from the control device via a plurality of acoustic sensors, and determining distance information of the control device based on the received acoustic token signal generated by the electroacoustic transducer of the control device.
