ETS-10 titanosilicate materials selectively adsorb carbon dioxide from gaseous mixtures containing carbon dioxide and light paraffins such as methane and ethane.

Removal of carbon dioxide from paraffins

ETS-10 type materials preferentially adsorb ethane and, if present, Cparaffins from mixtures comprising methane, ethane and optionally Cparaffins at pressures above 200 psia. A process in which ETS-10 type materials are used to separate ethane and Cparaffins from natural gas streams at over 200 psia is provided.

Removal of ethane from natural gas at high pressure

Chitosan membranes chelated with silver or cuprous material may be used to separate olefins from a mixture of olefins and paraffins. The feed stream is humidified, demisted, treated to remove sulfur compounds and passed to a cell having a chitosan membrane containing chelated silver or cuprous compounds. The process has a reasonable flux rate and is operable at reasonable temperatures and pressures. The process could be used in an olefin separation train.

Process for the separation of olefins from paraffins using membranes

The present invention relates to the separation of olefins, diolefins and lower aromatics from mixed streams of hydrocarbons using ionic liquids in the absence of metal compounds. The present invention eliminates the metal complexes conventionally used in such separation and thus reduces the complexity of the process.
