Some embodiments provide a system to facilitate transaction processing associated with an industrial asset supply chain having a first entity and a second entity. A first entity computer processor may retrieve, from a first entity database, information associated with pre-delivery data about the industrial asset. The first entity computer processor may then record pre-delivery data about the industrial asset via a secure, distributed transaction ledger. A second entity computer processor may retrieve, from a second entity database, information associated with a post-delivery event involving the industrial asset. The second entity computer processor may then record post-delivery event data about the industrial asset via a secure, distributed transaction ledger. The post-delivery event data might indicate, for example, that the industrial asset has been delivered, has been installed, is working properly, has been used, etc.

Blockchain enabled transaction processing for an industrial asset supply chain

A role-based access control method and/or system permits end users to securely pair their mobile devices via a pairing apparatus with one or more instruments to, for example, remotely monitor operations of the instruments. In an embodiment, the process includes a pairing apparatus receiving a pairing request from an instrument including a unique access code, and receiving a pairing request from an end user mobile device that includes an end user mobile device identifier and an access code. If the unique access code matches the end user's access code, then the end user mobile device identifier is added to a security group and a successful pairing message is transmitted to at least one of the instrument and the end user mobile device.

Apparatus and methods for tracking a plurality of marine riser assets are provided. Part of a riser lifecycle monitoring system, the apparatus can include an oil and gas riser spider to connect a plurality of riser pipe sections during assembly of a riser pipe string. The riser spider forms an annulus around a first section of the plurality of riser pipe sections and supports the first section of the plurality of riser pipe sections during connection to a second section. The apparatus can also include a reader including an antenna arrangement to read a plurality of radio frequency identification tags, e.g., directional 125 kHz RFD tags, attached to or embedded within an outer surface portion of each of the plurality of riser pipe sections.

An apparatus and methods for tracking a plurality of marine riser assets is provided. Part of a riser lifecycle monitoring system, the apparatus can include an oil and gas riser spider to connect a plurality of riser pipe sections during assembly of a riser pipe string. The riser spider forms an annulus around a first section of the plurality of riser pipe sections and supports the first section of the plurality of riser pipe sections during connection to a second section. The apparatus can also include an antenna to read a plurality of radio frequency identification tags, e.g., directional 125 kHz RFID tags, attached to outsides of the plurality of riser pipe sections. The antenna can include an oblong loop attached to and substantially spanning about half of an internal surface of the riser spider so that the antenna follows the contour of the riser spider.

A telematics system in an asset network is provided. The telematics system includes one or more sensors configured to acquire data from multiple assets at different locations in the asset network. The telematics system also includes a transceiver configured to receive the data acquired from the one or more sensors. The telematics system further includes a data analysis system. The data analysis system includes a central data server configured to receive the data transmitted from the transceiver. The data analysis system also includes a processing circuitry configured to combine data, analyze combined data to detect trends, generate value added services based on the detected trends and distribute the value added services to multiple end users.

A technique is provided for tracking and/or monitoring an inventory within one or more assets. The technique includes activating a plurality of antennas on each of the one or more assets in turn for a specified period of time, and receiving a response from an RFID tag attached to the inventory through the plurality of antennas located on an asset having the inventory along with a positional information of the asset having the inventory.

A contaminated aqueous composition is withdrawn from a groundwater extraction well and the groundwater is treated in a pump and treat system to remove a contaminant. The treating of the aqueous composition is monitored from a location remote from the groundwater extraction well and the treating is adjusted to remove a contaminant in accordance with the monitoring. A system to treat a contaminated aqueous composition comprises a capture zone to intercept a contaminated aqueous composition and a surface pump and treat system to receive and treat the contaminated aqueous composition from the capture zone. The system also includes a sensor that senses a contaminant in the contaminated aqueous composition and a monitor to receive information concerning the contaminant from the sensor and to consequently control the pump and treat system to treat the contaminated aqueous composition. The monitor is situated at a location remote from the pump and treat system.

Method and system to remotely monitor groundwater treatment

In a method for treating a contaminated fluid stream, a characteristic of a flow of the composition to a carbon adsorption zone is sensed. The sensing is remotely monitored to determine a treatment for the contaminated fluid stream. The contaminated fluid stream is then treated according to the monitoring. A system for treating a contaminated fluid stream comprises a sensor that senses a characteristic of a flow of a contaminated fluid stream prior to treatment and a monitor to receive information concerning the characteristic from the sensor and to consequently control the carbon adsorption zone to treat the contaminated fluid stream. The monitor is situated at a location remote from the carbon adsorption zone.

Method and system to remotely monitor a carbon adsorption process

A monitoring system determines characteristics of a fluid in a well. The system comprises a well module adapted to be disposed in a well, where the module comprises a probe and at least one sensor that senses characteristics of the fluid. The well module is capable of transmitting information concerning fluid characteristics. The system further comprises a data collection center, which is capable of receiving well information from the well module and generating information concerning characteristics of the fluid, a monitoring site, and a communication link that enables a user at the monitoring site to obtain information such as, but not limited to, real-time, historical, and a combination of real-time and historical concerning the characteristics.

Monitoring, diagnostic, and reporting system and process

An inventory management system automatically monitors inventory amounts, provides information concerning inventory, and decides if an order for replacement inventory should be placed. The system includes a storage for inventory, an indicator for monitoring and reporting the level of current inventory, and a controller for receiving information from different inventory suppliers and for integrating such information with information on current inventory amounts and estimated future use to decide if an order for replacing inventory should be made. An order is placed automatically to a supplier and the progress for the delivery of replacement inventory is automatically monitored. A method using this system for managing inventory includes the steps of automatic gathering information about the current inventory and deciding whether and when replacement inventory should be ordered.

A sampling device can monitor contaminants in groundwater. The sampling device comprises a semi-permeable membrane for contact with groundwater, in which the semi-permeable membrane is permeable to contaminants and impermeable to groundwater; an inner chamber formed by the semi-permeable membrane for containing the contaminants from the groundwater that diffuse through the semi-permeable membrane; and a sensor device communicating with the inner chamber. The sensor device is in contact with the contaminants contained within the inner chamber for monitoring the contaminants.

Monitoring of volatile organic compounds in groundwater with an in-situ sampling device

An improved method and apparatus for monitoring the concentration of contaminants, including volatile organic compounds, in groundwater is provided comprising a semipermeable membrane defining an inner chamber. The chamber is carried within a mesh protective sleeve of cover to prevent abrasion or puncture of the chamber. The membrane is permeable to contaminants but impermeable to a reference fluid, which is distilled water. The method of sampling comprises placing the semipermeable membrane chamber, which contains the reference fluid, in contact with contaminated groundwater, thereby allowing contaminants to diffuse through the semipermeable membrane.
