A toy doll with a movable portion is a toy doll with a first portion and a second portion that is movably coupled to the first portion and movable between a first configuration and a second configuration. The first portion includes a trigger that may actuate at least one of an engagement assembly and a hinge assembly. The engagement assembly may retain the second portion in the first configuration until the trigger is actuated while the hinge assembly may move the second portion of the toy doll to the second configuration.

A toy doll with an illuminable movable portion is a toy doll with an illumination source, a first portion, and second portion. The second portion is movable with respect to the first portion and includes at least two panels which define housings configured to be illuminated. Each of the housings may include illumination areas, which, upon being aligned with the illumination source may become illuminated. Each of the panels may be selectively aligned with the illumination source. By illuminating different panels of the second portion, the toy doll can be configured in various illumination configurations. A user can influence which panels are illuminated by orienting the toy doll in certain orientations or moving the second portion to different locations with respect to the first portion, among other factors.

An articulating toy figurine comprises a body, a member coupled to the body via a shaft and an actuator pivotally coupled to the member. The shaft may comprise opposing first and second ends disposed within the member and body, respectively. The first end may comprise a bevel gear. The actuator may be pivotally coupled to the member to drive a gear assembly disposed in an internal cavity of the member. The gear assembly may be operably coupled to the bevel gear of the shaft to rotate the body around a rotation axis defined by the shaft. The rotation axis defines an angle &#x3b8;that is less than 90 degrees, preferably 30 degrees to 60 degrees, relative to an axis defined by the member. The actuator may be movable from a first position to a second position to cause the body to rotate 360 degrees around the rotation axis.

A doll with reconfigurable hair and dress is disclosed. The hair is rotatably coupled to the top of the head of the doll and a switch within the head of the doll. Furthermore, the switch is connected to the output mechanism, dictating which output the output mechanism produces. When the hair rotates about the head of the doll, the switch is actuated, changing the output of the output mechanism. Additionally, the dress of the doll is capable from converting from a full gown that folds away to reveal a skirt.

A reconfigurable doll includes a body having a torso defining a cavity, and a garment member coupled to the body. The garment member is movable between an extended position extending outwardly from the torso, and a retracted position substantially disposed within the cavity.

A toy figure assembly is disclosed. The toy figure assembly includes a toy figure and a toy surfboard that can be used with the toy figure. In one embodiment, the toy figure can be coupled to the toy surfboard in an upright or surfing orientation that simulates the toy figure surfing on the toy surfboard. In one embodiment, the toy figure can be coupled to the toy surfboard in a lying orientation that simulates the toy figure paddling on the toy surfboard. In one embodiment, a handle is coupleable to the toy figure to allow a user to move the toy figure into different poses.

A doll includes a reconfigurable clothing article coupled thereto. The reconfigurable clothing article can be placed in different configurations relative to the body of the doll. In one configuration, the clothing article can be moved upward and substantially cover an upper portion of the doll body. In another configuration, the clothing article can be moved downward and substantially cover a lower portion of the doll body. In one embodiment, the clothing article may include openings or receiving areas into which the arms of the doll can be inserted. In one embodiment, the clothing article may be placed in intermediate configurations along the body of the doll.
