The invention relates to a vacuum-operated servo-brake comprising, in a casing consisting of a shell (10) and a cover (12), a piston (20) separating leaktightly two inner chambers (22, 24), a valve means controlled by a rod (32) projecting from the casing in order to ensure the operation of the servo-brake, and a prestressed spring (34) for returning the piston (20) to its rest position substantially abutting the cover (12), the spring (34) bearing on the shell (10). According to the invention, the spring (34) comprises a mechanism enabling its extension to be limited when the shell (10) and the cover (12) are not fixed to each other.

A hydraulically controlled brake system for a motor vehicle, comprising a master cylinder, a corrector intended for reducing the pressure prevailing in the rear-wheel brakes in relation to that prevailing in the front wheels, and a wheel anti-lock device. The corrector is of the type with a controlled shift of the cut-off point. During the operation of the anti-lock device, the cut-off point has a specific value higher than that of a corrector equipping the vehicle without a wheel anti-lock device, while it is substantially equal to the latter in the event of a failure of the device.

A pressure reduction mechanism (10) is installed in a brake circuit of the rear axle of a motor vehicle, comprising a master cylinder (1) and at least one monitoring device, the mechanism executing the brake-pressure reduction only in specific circumstances and comprising a regulating piston (14) sliding sealingly in a bore (13) and stressed by at least one spring (16, 17) in the opening direction of a regulating valve (15). The spring (16, 17) is arranged in a sealed chamber filled with an incompressible fluid, and a solenoid valve (22) controls the opening or closing of communication between the chamber and a reservoir of the fluid under low pressure.

Brake-pressure reduction means for a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a brake subassembly for a vehicle having an engine compartment and a passenger cell separated by a bulkhead (46), the subassembly comprising: a pneumatic boost servomotor controlled by way of a pedal (28) and intended to be fixed to the bulkhead (46), the servomotor comprising, coaxially, a front shell (14), having a cylindrical wall, and a rear cover (16) and having, on the inside, two chambers (18, 20) separated in leaktight fashion by a piston (22) provided with a diaphragm (26) ensuring leaktightness between the two chambers, a master cylinder (10) fixed to the front shell (14) and at least one brake pedal (28). According to the invention, the shell (14) and the cover (16) are each provided with a radial peripheral rim, the rim (52) of the cover bearing directly on that (50) of the shell, which bears on the bulkhead (460 on the passenger-cell side; the cover (16) has a circular centering tongue (56), which projects into the servomotor and the inner end of which comes to compress radially the peripheral end of the diaphragm (26) on the cylindrical wall of the shell (14), and a plurality of mutually parallel ribs (36) which project from its exterior wall and certain of which (34) constitute support pieces (34) for the pivot (32) of the pedal (28).

Brake subassembly for a vehicle

A brake assembly with hydraulic boosting, comprises at least one disk brake having a fixed part (1), a caliper (3), a brake motor (82) actuated by a fluid under pressure, a master cylinder (48) and a device (15) for recovering the energy dissipated during braking. The device (15) comprises at least one energy-recovering cylinder (21) with its piston (19) which is associated with the fixed part (1) and with the caliper (3) and the working chamber of which is connected fluidly to the brake motor (82). A hydraulic booster/limiter is connected between the energy-recovering cylinder (15) and the brake motor (82), the hydraulic booster/limiter being controlled by the pressure of the fluid generated in the master cylinder (48).

The load sensing brake proportioning valve of a vehicle comprises a first piston (14) sliding in a stepped bore made in a body, and carrying a normally open shutter (18) arranged between a source of fluid under pressure and the associated brake circuit, the first piston (14) being moveable counter to a spring (16) under the effect of the pressure of the fluid which tends to close the shutter (18), a sliding rod (24) normally bearing between a pusher (20), the position of which is a function of the load of the vehicle, and the shutter (18). The proportioning valve comprises a locking mechanism immobilizing the sliding rod (24) as soon as the pressure of the fluid in the associated brake circuit exceeds a specific threshold.

Device for mounting a protective cap (18) on a support (12), the support (12) having a base surface (20) intended to be at least partially protected by the cap (18), and a first bearing surface (28, 38, 54), the device incorporating a first rigid component (22, 32, 44), joined to the periphery of the cap (18), and a locking component (26, 40) situated between the first rigid component and the first bearing surface, characterized in that the locking component (26, 40) is inserted by sliding laterally between the first component (22, 32, 44) and the first bearing surface (28, 38, 54) so as to fix the cap (18) in position bearing against the base surface (20) of the support.
