A wiring method during which an electrical cable is connected, the cable including one or more conductive wires, to an electrical apparatus, such as a drive computer unit for assisted steering, by means of a non-sealed connector which includes a male portion placed in a junction box and connected to the electrical apparatus, and a female portion connected to the electrical cable, as well as retaining members for fixing the female portion on the male portion in order to create an electrical junction between the respective conductive terminals of the portions, the connector is then covered, after connection, with an enrobing polymer material which forms a sealed shell which protects the electrical junction at least from water.

An assembly method in which an assembly ring is force-fitted between a first part and a second part such as to create: a tightening contact between the first part and the inner face of the ring, by means of plastic deformation of the ring, said tightening contact occupying a first interference zone; and a tightening contact between the second part and the outer face of the ring, said tightening contact occupying a second interference zone. The invention relates to a yoke device which includes a rotary pad (), the inner periphery () of which is off-center relative to the outer periphery (), clamped against the rear of the rack, and thus pushed toward the teeth of the steering pinion. The rotary pad () engages, via the outer periphery thereof (), with an arcuate cradle () of a mounting () mounted in the steering gearbox, said pad being biased and rotatably positioned by a clearance-compensation mechanism having a spring means. The invention relates to a push device () which includes a rotary pad () in which the inner periphery () is off-center relative to the outer periphery () and applied to the rear () of the rack () which is thereby pushed towards the teeth of the steering pinion (). A clearance compensation mechanism () includes a thrust member () pressed against a radial arm () of the pad () by a compression spring () inserted between said member and an element () secured to the support () of the pad (). A mobile stop () rotatably mounted relative to the element () comprises toothings having staggered gear teeth cooperating with notches of the thrust member (). The stop () is connected to the element () by means of a torsion spring (). The notches successively cooperate with the staggered teeth.

Push device with clearance compensation for rack-and-pinion steering of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a pusher device () that includes a rotary bearing () having an inner periphery () that is off-center relative to the outer periphery (). In order to compensate for wear, the bearing () is rotationally urged in one direction (F) by a spring () and is thus pressed against the back () of a rack () that is then pushed back against the teeth of the steering sprocket (). The rotary bearing () is rotatingly mounted in a housing () that is in turn mounted on a steering casing () so as to be capable of sliding in a direction (B) parallel to a plane (P) of the teeth () of the rack () and orthogonal to the axis (A) of said rack. Shock-absorbing spring means () are arranged between the sliding housing () and the steering casing () for absorbing the straightness defects of the rack ().
