In an example, an apparatus includes first and second antennas and a switched extractor coupled to the first antenna. The switched extractor includes an extractor configured to extract an extraction frequency band, a bypass line, and switching circuitry. The switching circuitry is configured to selectively establish a bypass signal path including the bypass line or a concurrent signal path including the extractor. The apparatus also includes first and second transceiver units (TRXUs) and a processor. The first TRXU is coupled to the first antenna via the switched extractor. The second TRXU is coupled to the first antenna via the switched extractor and coupled to the second antenna. The processor is configured to cause the switching circuitry to selectively connect the first TRXU to the first antenna via the bypass or the concurrent signal path based on the extraction frequency band and an operational frequency band associated with the first TRXU.

Enhanced antenna utilization

A filter device having a reduced sensitivity to production tolerances comprises a multilayer panel with integrated wiring, a piezoelectric substrate mounted to the panel. A first filter circuit (FC) and a signal path (SP) comprising a second filter circuit are realized on the substrate and connected to a common antenna terminal (AT) as well as to a common node (CN) located on top of the piezoelectric substrate. A first matching circuit (MC) and further matching circuits (MC) are realized by the wiring in the multilayer panel.

Filter device comprising two connected filter circuits

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a filter circuit and techniques for filtering using the filter circuit. The filter circuit generally includes a first filter stage having a first acoustic wave resonator coupled in a series path between a first port of the filter circuit and a second port of the filter circuit, a first inductor-capacitor (LC) tank circuit, a first capacitor coupled between a first terminal of the first acoustic wave resonator and the first LC tank circuit, the first LC tank circuit being coupled between the first capacitor and a reference potential node, and a second capacitor coupled between a second terminal of the first acoustic wave resonator and the first LC tank circuit. In some aspects, the filter circuit includes one or more other filter stages coupled to the first filter stage.

Acoustic-wave-based filter for wideband applications

An apparatus is disclosed with an absorptive filter. In an example aspect, an apparatus has a filter including a first filter port and a second filter port. The filter also includes a hybrid coupler, a signal combiner, a first filter unit, and a second filter unit. The hybrid coupler includes a first hybrid port, a second hybrid port, and a third hybrid port, with the first hybrid port coupled to the first filter port. The signal combiner is coupled to the second filter port. The first filter unit is coupled between the second hybrid port and the signal combiner. The second filter unit is coupled between the third hybrid port and the signal combiner.

Absorptive filter

Certain aspects of the disclosure related to communications apparatus provides isolation between wireless protocols when operating currently while incurring the additional insertion loss based on providing the isolation only when needed. In an aspect, an apparatus include a switched filter coupled to an antenna where the switched filter includes a filter and a bypass line along with switching circuitry configured to selectively establish a bypass signal path including the bypass line or a filtered signal path including the filter. The apparatus further includes a switched filter controller configured to cause the switching circuitry to selectively connect a transceiver unit to the antenna via the bypass signal path or via the filtered signal path based at least on a frequency band of a carrier signal and a bandwidth of the carrier signal.

Apparatus and method for controlling a switchable filter for coexistence between wireless protocols

A front end module has two signal paths for operation in two different frequency ranges which can be operated both with one antenna in the multiplex operating mode and with two antennas in a second operating mode. The respective operating mode is actuated via corresponding contact being made with the module substrate, and therefore by the user.

A multiband circuit includes a signal path comprising a first signal branch that includes a first circuit that is transmissive in a first frequency band and a second signal branch that includes a second circuit that is transmissive in a second frequency band. A ceramic multilayer construction includes three resonators designed as parallel strip lines that are capacitatively or magnetically coupled to each other. All circuit components are implemented in the form of metallizations in multilayer construction. Capacitative couplings are implemented by coupling capacitors. The strip line resonators are shortened by shunt arms to ground having grounding capacitors arranged therein.

Circuit configuration

The invention discloses an electrical component with a carrier substrate, on which at least one semiconductor chip is mounted. Terminal areas are arranged on the underside of the carrier substrate and contact areas designed for the assembly with semiconductor chips are arranged on the upper side. The carrier substrate has a functional area that is divided into sections, wherein each section is assigned at least one function such as, e.g., as a filter, a frequency-separating filter, a balun, etc. A separate area of the carrier substrate is assigned to each section. The following applies to at least one of the sections: the contact area and/or the terminal area that is conductively connected to the section lies outside the base of this section. The connecting line that conductively connects the input or output of the respective section to the contact area and/or the terminal area is preferably shielded from the section by a ground area.

A bandpass filter is described herein. The bandpass filter has two parallel signal branches, each connected, on an input side, to an input node and, on an output side, to an output node. The two signal branches form a ring resonator, having a wave mode with a complex amplitude of {right arrow over (U)}=|{right arrow over (U)}|exp{&#x2212;j&#x3c6;} propagating in a clockwise direction and a wave mode with a complex amplitude of {right arrow over (U)}=|{right arrow over (U)}|exp{&#x2212;j&#x3c6;} propagating in a counterclockwise direction. The stop frequencies are arranged such that a passband is formed between two stop frequencies.

Band-pass filter having a ring resonator

A multistatic detection device for measuring a distance to an object includes a transmitter and a receiver, each having a high-frequency oscillator and a pulse generator. The pulse generators can be supplied with synchronisation signals emitted by signals generators, the synchronisation signals being transmitted by a data bus common to the transmitter and the receiver. The relation of the deterministic phases of high-frequency signals can be produced by the high-frequency oscillator. The method includes feeding two synchronisation signals to the transmitter and the receiver by the common data bus, the transmitter signal is transmitted towards an object, the signal passing through the receiver and contained in the data bus being mixed with a reception signal reflected by the object, thereby producing a measuring signal thereby making it possible to compare the phases of clock signals.

Multistatic method and device for radar measuring a close distance

The present invention relates to contacting technology for signal connections in the substrate of an extremely high frequency module, in particular a microwave or millimeter wave module. The extremely high frequency module contains a) a multilayer substrate having at least two dielectric layers and metallization layers and inter-layer connections, and b) chips positioned on the top of the multilayer substrate. The chips are electrically connected to each other and to the structures in the metallization layers by means of HF connections. The HF connection is realized by means of at least two conductor lines, which exhibit fanning. The present invention allows for simple contacting of chips having small intervals between the external contacts on the multilayer substrate.

Component with ultra-high frequency connections in a substrate

The invention relates to a device, especially an active backscatter transponder, for generating an oscillator signal based on a base signal. It comprises an oscillator for actively constructing the oscillator signal by oscillations, an input for the base signal and an output for the oscillator signal produced. The oscillator can be induced by the base signal to generate oscillator signal in a quasi-coherent manner to the base signal. For the transmission of data, the device further has a data insertion device for inserting data or a data signal into the oscillator signal. A corresponding suitable receiver receives and processes the received signal that was generated and transmitted by such a device as a quasi-coherent signal. A separation device removes the signal portions of the oscillator from the received signal via the base signal of a receiver-side oscillator, with a data retrieval device for retrieving the inserted data.
