In a goggle lens interchange system, a goggle frame has a ledge on which a lens is removably placed, wherein the ledge is able to be exposed so that a lens of the goggles is able to be removed from the ledge, and another or replacement lens is able to be placed on the ledge.

An eyewear device can include a frame including an eyewire and a ledge, the eyewire at least partially encircling a lens and the at least one lens resting on the ledge, and a plurality of chamber walls in the ledge between the at least one lens and the frame, wherein the plurality of chamber walls are configured to allow air to circulate between opposite sides of the lens to reduce fogging. A method of producing an eyewear device can include providing a frame comprising an eyewire and a ledge, the eyewire at least partially encircling a lens and the at least one lens resting on the ledge, and providing a plurality of grooves in the ledge between the at least one lens and the frame, wherein the plurality of grooves are configured to allow air to circulate between opposite sides of the lens to reduce fogging.

Eyewear device and method of making the same

An article of polarized eyewear has a lens, with a first substrate lens material transparent to visible light and a pattern of elongated structures formed from at least a second material having a complex index of refraction, wherein the second material is deposited directly onto a curved surface of the first substrate lens material. A pitch between adjacent elongated structures is less than 300 nm and a width of each elongated structure is less than 90% of the pitch. A photochromic material is deposited onto the polarized eyewear.

An integral and biased lens interchange system configured to be used with various types of eyewear. The eyewear includes at least one lens and a frame having a rim supporting the at least one lens. The interchange system includes a biasing member incorporated in at least one of a bridge of the frame and the rim of the frame.

A shaft, having a slot formed therein offset from the shaft axis, receives the terminal end of a limb within the slot. The limb end has a pointed termination, and a bight. The slot has an arcuately formed portion, in which to nest the bight, and a depression in which to receive the pointed termination. More, the shaft has threading formed thereon, adjacent the slot, with the slot traversing the threads and a shaft-end head. An internally-threaded sleeve is slidably engaged with the shaft, and overlies the slot-nested end of the limb, and threadedly fastens onto the shaft threads, to prevent the limb from removing from the shaft.
