A retaining element for retaining the front of a boot sole on a ski. The element includes a jaw carried by a body which itself is mounted on a mounting base. The mounting base has a front zone that supports the body, and a rear zone positioned lower than the front zone. The retaining element can accept ski boots having a thicker sole.

Front retaining element for an alpine ski boot

The invention relates to an element for retaining a boot on a ski including a body and a retaining jaw that are generally symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal and vertical median plane, the jaw being biased by a return spring housed in the body, the return spring being connected to the jaw by an anchor having two lateral arms, a central strap and a central fork having two teeth, the spring elastically maintaining the arms of the anchor in support against two retaining pins affixed to the body, the jaw having a median pin engaged between the two teeth of the fork. At least one of the elements of the anchor, which are the arms, the strap and the fork, is asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal and vertical median plane defined by the body and the jaw.

Element for retaining the front portion of a boot on a ski

An element for retaining a boot on a skid, the retention element including a base provided to be affixedly connected to the ski, overlaid by a body, a jaw having two independent retaining wings journalled to the body about a vertical axle, the wings having, beyond their journal axle, a tip exerting an action by pressure on the head of a movable tie rod biased by a spring. A rocker, journalled with respect to the base, is inserted between the tips and the head of the tie rod, the tips being in support against an arm of the rocker, and the rocker being mounted asymmetrically with respect to the base or the tips.

A binding element adapted to retain the end of a boot. It includes a body that bears on a jaw. The jaw is vertically movable, and its movement is transmitted to the return spring of the jaw, which constitutes a compensation for a backward fall. The sole of the boot is pinched between a support plate and sole-tightener of the jaw. The support plate is movably mounted about a horizontal and longitudinal axis so that a twisting of the boot causes an elevation of the jaw and thus, activates the compensation mechanism.

Ski binding assembly

A retention element of a boot on a gliding board, particularly an alpine ski including a body, a base, a jaw for retaining the boot, likewise including a compensation mechanism to lower the return force that the spring exerts on the jaw. The support plate is movable to rock laterally around a longitudinal rocking axis, the support plate being supported on each side of the rocking axis on movable linkage assembly with the compensation mechanism, the rocking axis of the plate being movable along a vertical direction over a limited amplitude, and an elastic return device elastically returns the plate to the raised position.

Alpine ski binding apparatus

The invention relates to an assembly of a boot and a retention element of the ski boot. The boot has at the level of its tip a local asymmetry, that the retention element has a specific and symmetrical elastic retention element adapted to cooperate with the asymmetric zone in a manner such that the boot is freed more easily on one side than on the other. The invention relates also to a retention element and a boot considered alone, and to a pair of boots whose tips are symmetrical to one another.

The invention is related to a binding element for alpine skis including a base connected to the ski, a body mounted on the base, a boot retention jaw borne by the body, an energy spring housed in the body to elastically oppose the opening movements of the jaw in response to biases of the boot, and a support plate on which the sole of the boot rests. The support plate is configured for being mobile in a rocking motion, and a linking arrangement, sensitive to the rocking motions of the support plate, connect the support plate to one of the mobile members of the binding element to reduce the resistance force that the boot must overcome in order to be released by the jaw in response to a rocking bias exerted on the support plate.

Binding element for alpine skis

An assembly of a boot and a binding for a gliding board, such as a ski, as well as the boot and binding themselves. The binding has a movable mechanical mechanism for enabling a modification of the release threshold of the binding at will. The boot has a local reference which differs according to whether the boot is for the right or left side. The binding has movable sensors and a linkage to affect the release threshold of the binding. The reference of the boot determines the side of the jaw for which the release threshold is modified.

Boot-retention element assembly, particularly for skiing

The invention relates to a ski boot adapted to be maintained in support on a ski in a manner whereby it can be freed by front and rear binding elements affixed to the ski. The boot includes a front tip, and a rear tip, the zones of retention and support extending on both sides of a vertical median plane. The front tip has a retention feature with asymmetrical mechanical characteristics with respect to the median plane so as to allow for the release of the boot as a result of a torsional bias beyond a bias threshold which is different depending upon the direction of rotation in which the torsional bias is exerted.

The invention relates to a ski binding element, in particular a front binding element. This element includes a jaw borne by a body, itself borne by a base. The jaw is mobile against the return force of the spring, and a compensation mechanism facilitates the opening of the jaw following an action exerted on a sensor. The sensor is a support element, or the mobile portion of a support element journalled about a longitudinal axis, the support element can only pivot on one side with respect to this axis, and is retained in abutment on the other side.

The element includes a base connected to the ski, a body mounted on the base, a jaw, an energy spring housed in the body to elastically oppose the opening movements of the jaw in response to lateral and vertical biases of the boot, a support plate on which the sole of the boot rests. The support plate is mobile in a rocking motion, and a second circuit for tilting the jaw, generating release of the boot and independent of the energy spring of the jaw, is controlled by the rocking motion of the boot support plate.

The invention is related to a binding element for alpine skis including the following components: a base, a body, a jaw for retaining the boot and an energy spring housed in the body. The binding element includes the following features: the support plate is movable in a rocking motion and the linking means, sensitive to the rocking motions of the support plate, connect the support plate to at least one of the movable members of the binding element, to reduce the resistance force that the boot must overcome to be laterally released by the jaw, and then generate the free tilting of the jaw beyond a rocking motion with a predetermined amplitude obtained by the support plate.

A support plate connected to a front ski binding and designed to support the front part of a boot. The support plate comprises a base plate (6) solidly joined to the base of the binding and a support (7) forming a component separate from the base plate (6). An anti-friction plate (5) is mounted in final position on the support (7) and the support is movably assembled to the base plate (6) by interlocking and reversible locking elements.

Boot support plate for ski binding

A device for longitudinal adjustment of a binding for an alpine ski, in particular a front binding. The device comprises a base plate (9) on which the base (5) of the binding and a slide-rail fastened to the ski, along which the base plate (9) can slide longitudinally, are removably assembled so as to form a solid attachment. The base plate (9) incorporates a longitudinal positioning-locking mechanism and a control button (10) for the locking mechanism, accessible on a lateral edge of the base plate. The device comprises an arrangement for automatic blocking of the locking mechanism in its operative locked position, for as long as a voluntary maneuver is not performed in order to disengage the blocking arrangement. In particular, the housing (41) of the locking mechanism is flared, and the blocking arrangement comprises a finger (58) which cooperates with a groove (59).

Device for adjustment of the longitudinal position of an alpine binding

An interface piece for the slide-rail of a binding, in particular an alpine binding. The slide-rail comprises a stationary base (6) attached to the ski and delimiting a slide-track (7), along which a movable element (3) is mounted in a sliding configuration. At least one end of the base is open, so as to allow engagement or disengagement of the movable element on the slide-track. An interface piece (18) is inserted between the slide-rail (6) and the upper surface of the ski, and is extended on the side of the open end of the base (6) and beyond this end, where it incorporates an elastically-retractable shoulder (21) positioned in alignment with the slide-track (7), so as to constitute an elastically-movable stop which, on this side, prevents the disengagement of the movable element (3) from the base (6).
